Just in general adding eachother online to play games and having fun as such. Even though you're not together in person you're having fun and socialising arent you?

But if it’s just interacting through a game each person doesn’t really know who they are interacting with ? So they can’t verify that they are the person described in the profile.

It's too anonymous.

Webcam or meet in person works perfectly well.

It's why young players are warned about adding friends.
