If you like covers, you should check out Walk Off The Earth's cover of Avici's Somebody That I Used To Know where they all play the same oversized guitar at the same time and their version of Hello by Adele with kids toys. Unfortunately, Beardyman (you'll know which one he is )passed away quite recently |

"Sound of silence - Disturbed...
yes! Much better than original "
First time I saw them they covered Tears For Fears- Shout! I can’t stand that band, or that song, but it was actually tolerable when Disturbed did it. Love that band! xx |

Everyone saying Disturbed's version of Sound of Silence - it's a great cover for sure, but come on, better than the original? The original is a masterpiece, and this coming from a heavy metal fan. |

It absolutely is not.
The vocal is wank, it's practically a dirge. It manages not to convey the eeriness of the original, whilst at the time pitifully failing to be the "rawk" version that the group clearly think it should be.
Good cover versions offer a new perspective on a song through interpretation. This is more like a bad kareoke version. |

"Rolf Harris doing stairway to heaven
I wouldn't say it was better than the original but it's definitely a novel rendition that's unfortunately tainted now."
Extreme sarcasm, one of the best songs ever totally killed lol |

I do like it as a cover, but the singers vocals are too nasal (never liked his vocal style really). The original is still the best, on that we agree. |

"the Flying Lizards version of Money much more than the Beatles' version.
The Beatles version was a cover version it was originally sung by Barret Strong in 1959"
I have the Barrett Strong single on pre Motown on a label Anna Records |

Haha, I've just posted Jane by Jefferson on my songs with girls name in, and I actually saw them in Arizona back in 1986 |
