I have always loved mushrooms, as a kid my father and is kids used to go into the field next to us in moonlight picking mushrooms and cooking in butter and water with salt and pepper, (horse mushrooms) then just eat with fresh cut bread using the bread to dip into the juices..
To travelling to China and waiting thief very different mushroom cuisine..
Personally I like mine on a bbq and cooked over foil with garlic butter.
Or chopped in a sauce of garlic and cream..
Do you like them if so how do you cook them?
Or do you hate them?

I don’t like them 
At work we did ‘make your own pizzas’. As we were getting the ingredients ordered, a nine year old girl requested garlic buttered mushrooms.
She ended up being the only child to use them, so when her dad came to pick them up I let her take the big tub of them home with her  |

They're actually quite tasty raw too.
I keep meaning to be adventurous and do something with some Portobello but I never get around to it. |

One of my favourite brunch treats is Chestnut mushrooms quartered, seasoned and pan-fried in a little butter before adding Tarragon, fresh cream and a splash of Irish Whiskey. Sloosh the lot around on the pan until the cream has absorbed all the flavours, then spoon the lot onto thick cut slices of toasted cob. Pure decadence and only takes minutes to put together! |

Years ago I played rugby in Australia and went to an Aboriginal wedding in the outback ... I was given what resembled sliced mushrooms but was a form of snail/slug ... I didn’t eat mushrooms for 20 years .... so for me I can only eat button mushrooms now |
