My teenage daughter has a collection of shell jackets that are somehow back in fashion, what trends do you see now or that you loved that was around in the 80s that you loved? Yes I’m aware some of you won’t be old enough

I’m loving the coloured eye make up that I remember wearing!

I don't know if it was trendy, but I wore a lot of big frilly flouncy skirts.

It's probably still not trendy now. I do what I want

Me too, remember how much fun it was coming out of the toilets to laughter and realising your ra ra skirt was stuck in your knickers...

I have this problem with swing dresses

I suppose the athletic wear I wear underneath to stop my thighs chafing helps my modesty somewhat.

I was a proper football casual back in the 80's.

Wedge haircut, lois jeans, farah trousers, Fila /Tacchini track tops, Pringle knitwear and Adidas Trainers.

Loved the look. Still a casual at heart.

White linen suit (actually it came from top shop so god only knows what the material was), orange T-shirt and pumps with no socks. Dark tan and highlights in my hair...I knocked the girls out with that look, wish that would come back

With the white side panels? Gorgeous! I got a reissue in the 90s and only reluctantly threw it out recently.

Still love a Farah slack!

Bloody Yuppies. Thought they were a cut above everyone else with their gigantic mobile phones and Filofax's. Deely Boppers twanging around on girls heads. Silly Ski Pants with that loop that went round under your feet.

Doc Martens or Monkey Boots. You had to be one or the other, you couldn't be both.

Do you remember those ‘robot style’ sunglasses - a bit like Geordi La Forge’s visor in Star Trek TNG?

They were the business! - especially when one was body popping or break dancing on a New York Street corner. Yeahhh!

Pin striped jeans! I'd entirely forgotten!

I’ve noticed a slight resurgence of the turtle neck sweater, that mainstay of manly fashion circa 1960’s - 1990’s.

There and to the left a bit

Re-emerged in the late 70s but carried through to the 80s - tonic trousers and suits, sta-prest trousers, ski jumpers, grandad cardigans, and Fred Perry's and Ben Sherman's - and the latter two weren't the arm and a leg to buy that they are now

"I remember all the ruffle blouses after lady Diana got engaged. And then all the New Romantics and men wearing eyeliner. X "

The ruffle is back on blouses and dresses. Lots of flounce around. I've even noticed some pussy bow tie blouses.

There was an article recently about the large growth of the make up market for men and whether eyeliner is now on the verge of mainstream as Beckham is wearing it for a photoshoot.
