In the US, a vest is what we call a waistcoat. They call what we call a vest an undershirt. What with the pants thing as well, clothes shopping in America can be quite traumatic. |

And even if we Brits manage to finally find the correct clothes, we then must face the same confusing ordeal all over again when it comes to ordering food; chips vs crisps and jelly vs jam
Also, of special note, it’s judicious to remember that a ‘fanny’ is a bum in America..... |
