What are your top 80s movies...
This for me is one of those things that I can say ohhhh its this, this and that... then someone else mentions a film and I am all " Ohhhhh that's a great film"
To be fair I really think the majority of my watch again movies come from about 82 to 92 if I am honest...
So hit me with your best 80s Movies...
This came about after watching Ghostbusters this morning and realising it was 1984 !!!!

I got a friend to watch The Goonies for the first time yesterday. I never realised how much stuff is in it that you would never get in a kids movie these days.

Hardly anyone I know has seen Heathers!
My films before 1992 would be Mannequin, Splash, Blue Lagoon, The Hand that Rocks the cradle, terminator 1&2, Mermaids, Dirty Dancing, Top Gun |

Some great mentions, so just cos I don't it's been said yet I think 'Glory' should get a mention. I thought Denzel Washington was ace in that film...Matthew Broderick, not so much, |

Glory is an awesome film and unlike alot of American films did do the true story some justice |

Stand by me. Goonies. Back to the future. Gremlins. Flight of the navigator. Ghost busters. Rocky 3. Monster Squad. Lost boys.
These are off the bat, there’s too many to mention, I could go on.
80s90s films are so iconic I think film making hit a peak. The bar has been raised many times since, but there were some great directors out and the films were just fantastic. |

Not many great films.....
But one particularly was great to start the 80s....nothing else comes anywhere near....Raging Bull!! In fact one of the best of all time |

Always a few gems even in the worst decades. Tom cruise showed he could actually act in rain man to be fair |

" commando "
One of Arnie’s very best and crammed with his trade mark one liners; ‘I let him go’ - having just dropped Sully off the cliff and..... ‘I eat Green Berets for breakfast.’
And who can forget Bennett, the main villain?
He was awesome! ‘Johnnnnn - I’m not going to shoot you between the eyes.....I’m going to shoot you between the balls!’

"Airplane
Thought that was late 70s.....but if 80s, the original and best spoof and one of the best comedies...life of Brian was when?? "
Life of Brian (excellent film, by the way!) was released in the UK in November 1979, and Airplane was released in July 1980. |

Yeah. Airplane. If I was an automatic pilot I'd have a smile on my face as well. |
