Pub.....what's it like? Do you like it? How often do you go? Is it your kind of place or do you go elsewhere?
Ours was done up about 2 years ago. So it went from a proper dive, sticky carpets, shit food, aggressive men to modern, clean, decent people and much better menu.
I like it but prefer one about a 20 minute walk, I go about once a month for drinks, less for food.
Around 15 years ago it used to be the place to go for something stronger |

One smells like dogs and I don’t like it very much but everyone seems to love it. The one across the road is lovely but no one else seems to like it. I live in tiny village, blessed with two pubs...and folk always go to the wrong one |

Ours is run by a friend, we try and go once a month sometimes more often.
I helping him sort out doing food there in the future and help behind the bar when needed.
It's got a beer garden, log fire and pool table. |

My locals are awful.. really old fashioned and proper local men only on their regular chairs. It's what you get for buying on the outskirts of the nice areas compromising amenities for space though. Different story 5 minutes down the road but it's literally double the price for the privilege. |

The local is ropey, quite down at heel. A better option is a 15 minute walk to a lovely CAMRA pub on the edge of a village with great views over the valley. |

My local pub is actually ok for a local, the service can be a bit sketchy but otherwise good.It tried to go hipster at one point but has settled into an ok mix of beards, dogs and families.
I actually prefer old men's pubs with a bit of character. There are still a few in Liverpool. |

My local is up the drive from me and it’s more a restaurant but does amazing Thai food.
I don’t know anyone is there as I don’t go in, only for a takeaway, as I’m a miserable bugger. |

"Ours closed years ago but a new micro-brewery type place opened up last year. It’s less than a 5 minute walk, clean, friendly & allows dogs. And has cake. We love it
That sounds fantastic "
A quick nip to the shop takes longer |

Mine used to be lovely lady l but has turned a bit rough just recently tbh. In fact it's now that rough that when they had the pub quiz on the other night the first question was
What the fuck are you looking at ?
Not really it's absolutey brilliant and dates back century's.suppose that's why it's called the old inn lol
that's where I'm heading now to meet the lads
They've got a band/singer on which always attracts the ladys and also couples so who's near might just have to be activated lmfao
also moretti and Peroni my two fave lagers jobs a good un

The trouble is you often need a translator, and that's just to order a drink.. |

Can you still pay in root vegetables and livestock?

Although I only live a 10 minute walk from the city centre, I rarely go to the pub much anymore. The one that I attend most, but usually only to watch the football on Sky, is very pleasant, clean and well stocked with real ales, and is reasonably cheap |

I love my local.
It's a members only club, drinks are silly cheap. It's a 2 minute walk from my house.
My best friend runs it, I've worked there part time for 2½yrs.
The customers are generous, we have 'drinks jars' get a drink bought, print receipt off & pop it in, go in on a night off & I don't spend a penny.
What's not to love |

My fantastic local, 2 minutes walk from where I live in a quiet village was closed and turned into a very large house last year. My village social pub life is subsequently fucked. I drink at home now. Nearest is 6 miles away and I can't be arsed with taxis. |
