They’re paid obscenely large sums each week and whilst many supply much joy to watch, there are similarly a great many who’s inflated egos are seemingly vastly disproportionate to their actual skills.
List here all those players whether in this country’s leagues or else in other countries who you believe are grossly overrated in the game (and give your reasons if you can be arsed)   |

I don`t follow football so I may be out of date with this - Wayne Rooney - fancied himself as the next David Beckham, especially as a "celebrity", but failed by miles. Never played for his country with the same passion as Beckham or Gascoigne. Good, but not brilliant. |

I have to say that I don't blame the football players for taking the money because who on here wouldn't take the money if it was on the table I would... ok yes it is a little obscene but don't blame the players blame the system and the people who pay the silly gate prices etc etc |

Beckham was more of a celebrity then a football player, There was at least 5 players better then him in the united team when he was playing, Rooney didn't become there all time top scorer by being overrated |
