Was in the LIDL middle aisle today and was very nearly tempted by a waffle maker...

Does anyone have one and does it get much use?

Or is it gathering dust like my bread maker etc?

ST. AUSTELL, CORNWALL

I've got a kind of mini grill thing that has toasted sandwich, waffle and grill plates, I find it very useful.

Those middle Isles in Lidl are so tempting.

Whet in the other day to get some bread and some bacon and came out of the bathroom cabinet!

.

I always make waffles when having a hotel breakfast and then I remember I don't actually really like them.

Use your bread machine, leave the waffle maker.

It probably is quite good, I'm just too lazy!

Used to have my nans old waffle irons, they were like branding irons on a stick, you dipped them in batter and then into hot fat.

They puffed up, and went crispy, you fished them out and drained them then devoured, yum.

My bread machine was too much of a temptation. Warm bread turned into no bread within minutes.

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

I bought one of those from Lidl a good while ago, I do use it, and I think its really good quality compared to the prices Ive seen elsewhere.

My favourite is an American brand waffle/pancake mix from M&S, bacon and maple syrup

I love my waffle maker, they taste sooo much better than the shop bought ones.

I make a lot and reheat them they keep for a couple of days in the fridge. I haven’t poisoned anyone yet anyway.

I’m hungry now !

I find waffles a bit meh ..

So I'm probably the wrong person to ask.

Every gadget I've ever bought collects dust and I end up throwing it or giving it away.

Just go out for waffles when you feel like eating them

Thought would be entertaining for the child to make them. She's mastered the toaster, needs to up her game!

Wanting to and actually doing are waaaaay different.

I'd commit to the cause though, just for challenge alone to prove to myself I'm a goddess.

I'll teach you how to use them too my sweet as I've made and scoffed the results from them whenever working in the US as they're as standard in hotels I stopped at.

It will take all of 2 minutes as they're a piece of piss (and the purchase of maple syrup beforehand IS essential)

Now pancakes I can get on board with. Gadgets are fluff gatherers in my house. Pancakes is just a frying pan

Oh, will I!! I can't promise I'll be able to do the Tango simultaneously, in fact to be frank I'm inclined to fuck it clean off altogether my sweet? However I shall more than make amends for this by guzzling away like a right old Hungry Horace, slurping maple syrupy goodness from your sweet little puss with the eagerness of a stray mongrel trying to dig the last little morsels from a discarded can of Winalot...

And who on Earth could possibly refuse such an experience my darling?

Only a person who's not in control of all of their faculties that's who.

Now get your arse to Lidl my darling.... I have waffles to create.

My youngest makes our waffles as he fell in love with them in USA. Breakfast every now and then include 1million calories. We do use it, but it’s the stove top style pan. But crispy waffles, a kfc style chicken and maple syrup is to die for.
