Buy a microwave. They're not just used for re-heating food.

You can steam fish and veggies in there. Your noodles too! . Oh, you'll need a Pyrex glass dish with a glass lid though. Or a cheap supermarket brand glass dish will do.

Best of luck for next time lol.

Lol oh dear. Buy another. Next time don't place the microwave near the sink and or ensue all cutlery and metal/foil lids are fully removed from whatever you're trying to heat up or cook.

Unless your microwave was really old, then I can imagine why it would of blown up.

You'll get there! But joe wicks lean in 15 recipe books or Jamie Oliver's 5 ingredients books. You'll cook tasty quick meals in no time.

In other pasta related news. A teaspoon of vegatble oil with your pasta stops it sticking together, and rinse the starch off but particularly useful for spaghetti.

I cook noodles with a kettle (not in the kettle) at work.

Boil water, pour over noodles in a bowl, put a plate over the top to trap the steam in, wait 5-10 min, add spice/seasoning etc... tastes better than microwaved.

Good idea though Probably better than my idea of making fried bread by pouring olive oil onto bread and sticking it in the toaster.

I cook noodles with a kettle (not in the kettle) at work.

Boil water, pour over noodles in a bowl, put a plate over the top to trap the steam in, wait 5-10 min, add spice/seasoning etc... tastes better than microwaved. "

I find different types of noodle require different approaches... Some taste awful if not simmered in a pan for a few minutes, other types your method works great...

Still don’t understand why you’d actually put things in your kettle. You’d have floaties when you made cups of tea. Makes no sense.

Yep whole salmon in a fish kettle (sealed of course) on hottest wash - nothing else in the dishwasher thought!

"Buy a microwave. They're not just used for re-heating food.

You can steam fish and veggies in there. Your noodles too! . Oh, you'll need a Pyrex glass dish with a glass lid though. Or a cheap supermarket brand glass dish will do.

Best of luck for next time lol.

Yes my last microwave kind of blew up and I've not replaced as yet.

Did you try and warm up fish n chips in it? I tried that once..along with the greasy paper..sparks everywhere..needless to say new microwave time!"

Do not use paper with aluminum foil on it or you will have miniature lightning in the microwave.

I always find rubbing on your chest is a lot more effective for colds. I'm sure it would take your mind off any cough you had though. See if you can get this published in a medical journal.

Same and shook my head a few times

OP. Add a couple table spoons of baking powder, put half cup of white vinegar in and let it work it's magic for a few minutes, then add some hot water, slosh around and empty. Repeat if necessary and that should clean it element.

Point Nemo, Cumbria

When I was a kid, my mum used to make pea and ham soup in the pressure cooker. Before opening it, she'd cool it under the cold tap and then gently allow the pressure off by lifting the top weight slightly.

One day, my mum asked me to turn off the cooker. I switched off the gas and then quickly lifted the weight off the top.

In those days, I didn't know about explosive pressure drop.

A massive jet of molten soup shot up and splattered all over the kitchen ceiling and then down across all the units and worktops.

Mum was livid!

I don't do much with pressure cookers these days.

My pressure cooker used to terrify me. It always sounded like it was ready to explode. I'd stand as far away as possible and hit it with a wooden spoon!

I've had one for 20 yrs, I'd say best kitchen utensil ever. Cook just about anything in it, cakes to soups and most tender meat joints healthier and quicker. I've probably only ever changed the lid seal once in all that time too.
