Ok people...
You know that moment, when you listen or sing along to a track and you get goosebumps. Happened to me today while in my car I was listening to Bridge over Troubled waters" Not heard in ages and it happened twice. You think to yourself "Why dont I listen to this more" What does it for you... Will start:-
Simon & Garfunkel - The Boxer (lay-la-lay moment
Simon & Garfunkel - Only living boy in New York (all of it) |

"Songbird and Both Sides Now as they remind me of people
In my life
Clair de lune "
I like the Bette Midler version of In my Life
As a good friend once said, no one could tell you liked a bit of cock, but your CD collection is a pretty good clue |

"Shaddap You Face - Joe Dolce.
I don't think you are taking this thread seriously "
It's a heartwarming tale about a boy who's mother tries to keep him on the right track. Proper emotional. |

It's a pile of pap that shamefully kept Ultravox from the top spot with Vienna
But we're all allowed our opinions of course |

I often find high female vocal hard on the ears.. not Eva Cassidy.
She has such a beautiful pure voice.

There and to the left a bit |
There's a live version of One Step Beyond by Madness, taken from their comeback gig in 1992, that never fails to send a shiver down my spine and make the hairs on my neck stand up.
I was there that day and the atmosphere truly was electric when they came on stage and for what seemed a lifetime before Chas Smash launched into "Hey you...."
Gets me every time |

Try A Little Tenderness by Otis Redding always gets me, such a beautiful track delivered with raw emotion by Otis.
Days Of Our Lives by Queen, Freddie at the end of his life looking back. He looked so ill in the video and at the end when he stares into the camera and says “I still love you”, oh man I always seem to have a little bit of grit in my eye whenever I see that. |

the right frame of mind -London |
Anything by Whitney fucking Houston makes me scream in agony -don't know if this is strictly in tune with what the Op had in mind when he said "makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck" tho |

Elvis Presley
The first few seconds of I Just Can’t Help Believing make the hairs on the back of my neck stand to attention and have me reaching for the volume knob! Or more like these days telling “Alexa Volume 10”

"Beethovens - Moonlight Sonata (first movement)
Karl Jenkins - Sanctus
Mozart - The marriage of Figaro
Nothing gives goosebumps like classical!! "
Apologies, just to clarify, it's the piece called Duettino- Sull'aria from The marriage of figaro...not the overture. It's the classical piece used in Shawshank |

"Disturbed’s cover of the sound of silence does it for me every time"
It's rare I prefer a cover over the original....but this is definitely one.
Coincidentally also like another S&G track, the Lemonheads cover of Mrs. Robinson! |
