If an alien had just landed on earth and they asked you what musical album should he listen to first what would you suggest ?

Mine would either be apex twin - selected ambient works 92

Or else

Graduation - Kanye west

Two very different albums but both I just couldn’t live without

"Dark side of the moon"

DSOTM was my immediate thought but on reflection, I'd go for something lyrical which delves into human thought and behaviours!Possibly some Dylan or Conor Oberst

Somewhere In The Ether…

Oxygene - Jean Michel Jarre; The aliens will love it as it has a delightful ‘outer space’ like ambiance to it anyway

The only song to be sent into space for the aliens to find is Chuck Berry / Johnny B Goode.

Probably sums up 60 years of rock and roll better than any other song.

Glasgow

Let’s go with my favourite Prince album:

Parade.

Soundtrack to the much maligned, but misunderstood, Under the Cherry Moon.

Most people hated the film (but Wrecka Stow was genius ), but the album is flawless.

Closed with the even more poignant now, Sometimes It Snows In April.

For both of us it has to be Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev.

A magical, haunting album.

Mozart or J.S. Bach probably - I think I'd avoid anything made in the last 40 years at least the very least.
