Nice and simple; Name an actor or actress who served as the absolute perfect casting choice in a role that they were seemingly born to play and then, conversely, list an actor/actress who was simply, diabolically wrong for their role.
I’ll lead by way of example:
The late, great Oliver Reed in the role of Bill Sykes in the musical, Oliver, was perfection
Sadly, Keano Reeves playing Johnathan Harker in Francis Ford Coppola’s, Dracula on the other hand.....well he wasn’t very bloody good to put it mildly.
Off you go..... |

"Amazing casting, sigourney weaver as Aliens Ripley
Big mistake was Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern"
To be fair Ryan Reynolds was an awesome green lantern, just that the movie was terrible. He didn't have much to work with. |

Very good point. I still think that is down more to the writing and script but I do agree. |

I must admit that I, along with apparently thousands and thousands of others based on the initial fan reaction at least, was aghast at the casting of comedian Michael Keaton in the role of Batman.
......I was thus hugely, pleasantly surprised when I actually saw him in action.
Perfect casting as it turned out.
George Clooney however (as much as he’s normally great) was not such a good fit in the role (and by his own admission to!) |

Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool, perfect choice
Arnie - Conan, Terminator
Gene Wilder - Willie Wonka, made for him
Bad choice
Tiny Tom as Jack Reacher
Keanu and his weird accent as Jonathan Harker, acted off the screen by Tom Waits’ creepy Renfield

I agree. Batfleck was a huge surprise, as with a lot of castings the movies just don't allow the actor to really shine at times causing the bad casting stigma. Of course as was with Clooney it was definitely bad casting. |

Jack Nicholson in pretty well anything is a knockout.
Agree about Tiny Tom the cruise as Jack Reacher. Did anyone read any, just any, of the Lee Child books? Maybe he took a big backhander to look the other way. |
