I've managed to stay awake right through the night till the following evening, I was 12 and went camping with my mates in Speke Hall woods, I was too scared to sleep, so stayed up all night and kept the fire going, good job Blair Witch hadnt been made then otherwise I don't think we'd have gone in the first place.
So how long and why have you avoided hitting the sack? |

"Quite often a couple of full days and nights. Sometimes up to four days and it makes you really poorly. "
Once, whilst staying at Chams, I nearly stayed awake all night..... only cus the bloke in the next room snored like a train and the woman started talking at 3am! |

It's not something I'm particularly proud of but I once stayed awake for 3 days and 3 nights after which I fell asleep while driving and crashed my car. I NEVER drive when I'm tired now. It's just not worth it and I know from experience that no matter how much you want to stay awake, when your body decides it's had enough and you're not listening to it, then it takes matters into it's own hands. And that can have disastrous results.

With so little sleep surprised you can be so accurate. Most insomniacs struggle to accurately keep time because they are so tired and they have reduced brain functions. |

The week before Christmas I went from Thursday morning to Sunday night. I was with friends and we all just partied the days and nights away. The strange thing was come Saturday evening I felt dead to the world... but I had to pop home to see to my dogs, that woke me up and then I made it to Sunday night where I actually had trouble trying to sleep then! Typical!! |

About 5 days!!! No lie. Partying hard in spain when we lived there years back.
The latest time we went without sleep was this new year! Had a meet on the friday and then had to travel str8 down to sheff in the morning after an all night sesh, then out for new years eve and party back at friends, we didn't sleep that night either and drove back up the next day. But we're used to no sleep with our little one, he;s a nightmare sleeper! |

How about up for work at 5am do a full day at work and leave at 4pm. Get home shower and change and drive from Yorkshire to the Channel Tunnel. Arrive in France at 1130pm, then drive across France to Spain only stopping for fuel. Getting to Alicante close to midnight the following day.
43 hours, 32 of it all non stop driving. I was a zombie when I arrived, the last 20 miles was if I am honest just plain dangerous. Katee had trouble keeping me awake, I couldn't see properly my vision was blurred, I was seeing two road surfaces and they were swaying about. Something I would never do again! |
