Following on with a quick chat. Just wondering peoples views on coffee and which places are the best.

I confess I'm a fan of Neros.

I agree about Costa. But Starbucks that's just rank. Rather come home to a nice Nespresso. Lol

southend

We have a little independent in Southend that is lovely. Gorgeous homemade cakes too.

Failing that I like Cafe Nero.

Nothing beats the might of Tassimo though; Nectar Of The Gods! Mines done some serious ‘mileage’ now.

Costa coffee makes me feel nauseous. I used to like Starbucks but they either changed their blend or my tastes have changed. Some of the independent coffee shops do good coffee but for me nothing beats the stuff we have at home.

Can't stand Starbucks, Costa is okay, McDonald's is surprisingly drinkable, Nero is undrinkable.

I prefer little indy coffee shops where they know what they're doing.

Won't drink nescafe out of principle but I do enjoy the cafe Nero near me.

There's something extra pleasurable about a drive thru McDonald's coffee when the kids are asleep in the back of the car and I get to drink it in peace with the radio on

"Cafe Nero. Nothing else. "

I had a really good cuppa tea there the other day!

If I'm going to go in and sit down then Neros, otherwise I get Waitrose or MacD coffee, they use the same machine I notice, it's good stuff.

My other half swears by Mcdonalds coffee, I don't drink it that often but it's usually a Costa I have out of convenience.

I know ethical consumption is borderline impossible in a capitalist system but anyone who goes to Starbucks knowing they are utter scum can piss off.

I go to local cafes if I can. Costa if I feel like a proper cappuccino or something.

Northampton Somewhere

Greggs do a really good coffee, Starbucks is better than Costa but you can't beat an independent.

If you're ever in Northampton try The Yellow Bourbon Coffee House 10/10

Manchester

There’s a good tasting Nescafé though, it’s the in the gold coloured jar but has to be the Espresso one. I’ve tried probably all the decent coffee places in the city, most of them singe the coffee and make it bitter by having it too hot

Cold coffee, because you were too busy having fun to drink it while hot.
