Hey All
So what's the best way you have found to find a holiday?
What sites do you use and why?
Or do you prefer walking into a travel agents?
Maybe you prefer to find a package but then how?
Maybe you prefer to do it all separate from the flights or the cruise to the hotel and resort etc - how?
Do you go on holidays where there is a guide to show you around or do you simply go on a whim and hope Google maps saves your bacon? Lol
I ask because I was searching for a holiday and found nothing cheap and felt perhaps there's a better way.
So roll up roll all and give it your best shot |

I never book a package holiday
Always Skyscanner and individual airline apps for flights.
We're lucky in that we can choose from 3 airports to travel from, so I always look round for best date / travel time / price combinations
I use hotel comparison sites for prices, check with TripAdvisor for reviews, check maps for location, street view for the general area, local transport & connections
Then I usually book with whoever offers the best option for room at a price that can be cancelled without penalty (it's usually the hotel direct)
I do my leg work
It's part of the holiday experience for me |

All depends where I want to go and who with. Ive booked apartments before through owners direct and got flights. That was good.
This next one I wanted there to be entertainment for the teenager so I've booked a package with tui. I want to go to Italy later in the year so I'll be booking direct with the hotels for that one probably |

I never 'package' any more, mostly I book the flights and hotels /air bnb separately and then go with the flow
Just booked a ski holiday for Feb and found a flight and hotel deal through travelsupermarket and saved £250 from the brochure price |

"One thing to be careful of, if you book through sites like Booking.com etc.
You may not be covered by the credit card protection as you are booking through a middle man and that's not covered."
You mean if the airline goes bump ? |
