I love French bulldogs but it is true they have aot of cranial problems. Its why a lot of them have boggley eyes.
Mind you, the kennel club has promoted genetic deficiencies in breed specifications for years. The Rhodes Ian ridge back has spina bifida and there was an awfully sad German Shepherd at crudts a couple of years ago that could barely walk due to its hip dysplasia.
I remember a pomeranian that won one year and had to be sat on an ice pack or if would overheat due to its unnaturally thick coat. |

"I want one of these!
Don't. Don't get any of the flat-faced breeds. They've all been bred to have health problems so that they'll look a certain way."
A lot of pure bred breeds have problems, for example dachshunds have lots of problems with joints, labradors go blind and get arthritis, border collies get spinal problems
But you only really ever hear about the small flat faced ones like pigs and french bulldogs being cruel which is strange why don’t boxers which have the same issues get the same bad press? |

Because pugs and French bulldogs are fashionable at the moment. Boxers are in much the same position, health-wise. |
