There’s a couple of forumites on page 1 so my question is to you.
Does it make you get silly competitive to be number 1? It does for me, like I look at the ones doing well and some have status’ begging for fabs or promising to meet people that fab their pics and I think, hmm that’s pathetic but I wanna do it but can’t cos it’s too cringey.
Then you get all the messages from people far away and the whole thing is quite pointless but you still want to be number 1. Also does anyone else fab their own picture cos I do!  |

I don't think it's something I need to worry about as the 1000th+ single guy on fab. However, as someone with a slightly competitive streak I can kinda see the game in it. But offering meets for fabs is a bit like Instagramers offering like for likes just to boost there ratings |

I post pictures because I enjoy it, not bothered about being number 1 etc,
I must admit I do find it rather sad those who “bribe” their way to number 1 by offering something in return if they fab their picture though.

I put pics up to ‘put myself out there’ to attract meets
Bit like dangling a worm on the end of the hook lol
If they get fabbed it’s great because it means more people see me I guess
It’s nice being sandwiched between some of the hotties on here in Hotpics ...
Although would of course be nice to see a few of the men making it to the first page - a whole different sandwich

I went to a local club and met a well known page 1 aspirer there. She spent the whole time trying to get me to take pics of her for her profile, it was very off putting to say the least. She was a nice lady but she spent the whole time more concerned with getting a good photo so she can get more fabs rather than enjoying herself. I was and still am totally miffed by it all |

I remember when there was no 'most fabbed' league table. Just 'new pics'.
People used to message to say they liked a photo you'd posted. Or those that could be bothered composing a message rather than just clicking a button would.
Imagine that now. 6000 odd messages all saying 'love your photo.'
Would make ordinary conversations bloody hard and meets tricky to arrange.
So I suppose 'most fabbed' serves at least one purpose.....

I can't say that I look at hot pics very often, it's kind of pointless. Yes the pictures are great but you can't actually interact with any of them as their inboxes will be full of "wow, ur hot".
Is that the ultimate upshot? Yes the attention is there but are you missing out on the people that you actually want to meet because they get lost in the scrum? |

I was on men's page 1 last week with my Christmas pic, I didn't try and get on there but once I was I did want to get as high as possible. I'm competitive with everything though so it's no different.
When I was meeting alone getting on page 1 did lead to getting meets so there was extra motivation.
One of the forumites on page 1 at the minute is my better half, she doesn't take it too seriously but does enjoy the novelty of being on there as do I. |

I've only been there a couple of times but I never ask for fabs. I do like getting on page one as it does make you feel good and I am thankful for the fabs but otherwise I don't really let it bother me or define me for that matter |

Some of the best, most well thought out photos ever posted to the site will never be seen by the masses because they don't confirm to the stereotypical 'most fabbed' pic of a selfie style, naked/semi naked, slim, toned, 2035 yr old woman.
But that's all good. It gives all the single guys on site something to do whilst waiting for messages to be replied to.

I got on page 3 a few weeks ago, for having my boobs Out funnily enough, and yes at that stage, I wanted to get higher up the page, because I'm competitive. I didn't climb any higher though but I wasn't bothered because almost all the pictures before mine were better.
It's definitely a confident booster imo, and yes it would be nice to see a few males up there too.

To me hot photos is a sales and marketing tool - a very effective one!
If I have some free time coming up I may post a pic - then later perhaps a meet - as it means a lot more people will see my profile as it’s on hot photos - so I’ll have more chaps to choose from!
Rightly or wrongly I’ve asked people to Fab my pic if they like it - but I don’t offer to meet/fuck them in return/send private messages or pics/cam in return etc!

I think if your asking for fabs and get to page 1 then it kinda takes the gloss of it surely and I’d never fab pics if someone was asking for them to be .
I was once on page one but was only because I was in London when I put my pic up and was 90% guys fabbing it. Can’t say it made me any more happy.

If I see a picture I like I fab it but don’t do it for any gain. When I 1st joined I used to fab pics of ladies who had single guys blocked to try and court favour but quickly realised that was pointless !  |

My biggest tip to newly joined single guys would be to focus on getting high up men's hot pics if they can. On my first profile all I really did was get on page 1 of men's hot pics and that got me most of my meets, I rarely sent any first messages.
I think most people see it as too difficult but it's a far more efficient way to get meets once you've cracked it than spamming out messages.
My hot missus gets me meets now but if I didn't have her I would be straight back to chasing fabs. |

I sort of can relate to this actually. One of my pictures got to no1 on boxing day and it did give me alittle skip mainly due to my age.
But it's not something I think about normally. It's nice that people like a picture and yes I do say sometimes "if you like it fab it" but let's be honest in comparison to some updates thats very mild.
I dont think a lot of the top pictures are the best of fab most off the time.
Its like any other area of fab make it work for you whatever that maybe. |

It's the modern way. I'm always baffled if I go out with a younger group of girls from work for example - they spend the whole time taking pics and posting them on social media so that people can see what a great time they're allegedly having, rather than enjoying the moment. I can't imagine what these types would be like in bed! |

Don’t look at hot pics usually, looked before and can remember a lot not being what I would call hot, if our friends put a new pic on we Fab it as we do if somebody looks or messages us and we like their pics but that’s it, don’t search looking for pics to fab and wouldn’t even bother checking on how the pics we display get on as as wouldn’t get to number one due to not being single, live in too remote area, don’t do cam or show face publicly or internal body parts lol and definitely don’t ask for fabs so these reasons alone there would be a no chance but like others say who could be bothered with all the messages that come with it |

I do enjoy the forums and it's nice to have a good old chin wag with some people.
The best thing is that I've met a couple of really hot men since joining. I personally couldn't give a flying fuck about the hot pic section but I certainly get the competitiveness. It's other things that fires that side of me up. |

Not sure why so much fuss is made! I had a picture get to number 4 this year and I'm not fit, 50 and had clothes on!! I also turned my photo fabs off after ... yes it was hysterically funny and I didn't realise until a friend texted me!! If I had known I could have fabbed it myself maybe I could have made number 3!!! |

Does it make you get silly competitive to be number 1? It does for me, like I look at the ones doing well and some have status’ begging for fabs or promising to meet people that fab their pics and I think, hmm that’s pathetic but I wanna do it but can’t cos it’s too cringey.
Then you get all the messages from people far away and the whole thing is quite pointless but you still want to be number 1. Also does anyone else fab their own picture cos I do! "

No, you can hotlist yourself, if it's a relatively new pic it'll appear on your updates. You can fab it there. |
