If one of this years Pussy Posse parties could be held at any club except Chameleons.........
Where should it be held?
I know Chams is central etc... but seriously, where would people travel to? |

Good place to have a social as you can stayed dressed and have a boogie.... Its good there. I have some friends that do a social once in a while on a Friday from another site... Its usually a good crowd. |

No lol... sorry my geography is shocking... there was a great masquerade ball recently in Glasgow, was fab.... they hired rooms in a really stylish pub.
so maybe manchester, leeds might have similar

what about somewhere a little further South?
Still needs to have a good transport network though, which sort of rules out the South West, and also makes it harder for the Northern contingent, but you could go further north next time, even it out a little....
Abfabs wouldn't be the worst idea...
But as View said.. does it have to be a club?
A lot of folks find clubs a bit intimidating.. |

We were members of another site who hired a large room in a hotel. All thought it was fine as it was expected that all the rooms in the hotel would be taken by the group, unfortunately they weren't and as any landlord would do the unused rooms were still available to the general public, it did make it rather awkward later on in the evening when some people were running around almost naked  The group picture (which we missed fortunately) appeared in a very well known daily rag  |

Please bear in mind that IF and it's a big IF, I do this....... I'm going to need feedback on whether the Sat or the Sun would be best.
Now..... If it's a Saturday, any club, pub or whatever would have to be big enough to cope with all of us, and the club would also have to accept us on the terms that I already have with Chams.
If it's a Sunday, we would do it with the bank holiday and alot of clubs don't open. So, could we get them to open, feed us and let us run amok etc.
IF we did another club, they would have to allow non members in and I would want to do the bring your own booze.
Would people prefer a non-club, fancy dress, a ball etc...... do we need play rooms, somewhere to put bags etc.....
I need suggestions, suggestions, suggestions and I MAY then consider it. |

Just had a look in the club section there is Buddies, Infusions swinger hotel, Blackpool fun house quite a few choices there. A hotel may work better than a club and cater for us better. Especially if not peek time. |

Depends when as well as it is an Olympic year so the South East is gonna be a no no for all of that period- no availability on hotels or venues, I would presume?

Buddies apparently stinks and is dirty - Infusions is fantastic and the blackpool fun house is a b & b who have swingers weekends - we haven't been to the fun house for a couple of years and would never go to buddies - Z |

Never been to Blackpool so don't know but have heard great things about Infusions and have met the couple that run it at chams great couple. |

Prefer a club and if its not Chams would prefer it a Sat night...
I know i said Xtasia, which i think is ideal for what your thinking but everyone has things they like or even dont like about different clubs, it has a reasonably priced bar also and we dont mind bringing bottle or other...
The lack of locker space is a downside unless its changed since we've been but we dont take a lot to clubs anyway  
We dont mind travelling to clubs and make a weekend of it so no probs here whatever you decide...
Probably not gonna please everyone with this so best ta decide and jus go with it ...

I'd say xstastia.. their bar is cheap as chips premier inn next door.. And those that feel uncomfortable in wearing a towel can wear clothes.. They have play rooms also and if you are you on the social list you don't have to be a member and people can come as fancy dress or whatever... A mascarade ball even.... |

It would be for the Jubilee..... along the lines of last years Red, White and Blue.
So no trawling down the motorway and fighting with the Olympic traffic.
I honestly don't know if Xtasia would cope. Don't forget, it only has one jacuzzi, the playrooms are open and in the eaves..... and if you are over 4ft, you have to practically crawl into them.
If people wanted it as a pure social, it may be ok..... but for what I have in mind, it's probably a no go. |

I dont drive so traveling a long way is hard for me as public transport dont run at club kicking out times and it get expensive if you have to pay for trains and hotels, but with enough notice i would try to make the effort if possible, so long as its not xtasia, even tho its on my door step i still wouldnt go lol |

I don't have a car so somewhere near rail links would be good.
I would like to see some ice-breaker games at social gatherings.(Maybe you are already doing that?)

La Chambre? It's big, but not sure if they'd waive membership. Having said that they hosted the BMFC lot late last year so I reckon they'd be open to negotiation.
Not entirely sure why Xtasia would be an alternative - it's in the same city as Chams! At least Sheffield is more accessible for the northern lot. |

It dose have a smallish bar area you take your own beer /drinks small hot tub good size pool sauna, rooms for fun lounge area the one down side is it does have a very limited smoking area, there is also a pool table lounge area as for music- DJ. You may have to ask about this.
A hotel there is plenty around the area where the club is.
People could make it a weekend away from all the hype of the Olympics’
Unsure when it’s being planned for month, just a foot note London. Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield and the north east are all holding events during the Olympics hotel and venue will be limited and may even cost more during July / August.

I've been to Infusions and it is all you say, including being extremely clean.
It is definately up there as a possibility........ IF the southerners would travel.
The other plus side is that if we could get a decent price for say a dozen B&B's or hotels, people who didn't like clubs could come and we could do something the next day! |

I have never attended a Pussy Posse Party, but from remarks on the Forums and from friends of mine who have attended, they are great fun and well organised. So why spoil a winning formula

Yep..don't do too much asking and consulting, that just invites too much opinion in a vast arena like Fab..don't ASK, just DO..and leave others to make up their mind on a matter thats settled.

just never been the right time work commitments and all,
Also this one might even be out of the question as the company i work for is planning not to allow any annual leave during the 2 months of the Olympics |

I know I'm not going to please everyone.
I know there are some who want clubs and some that don't.
I know there are some who want jacuzzi's.
I know there are some who want dresses and dancing.
I've spent the last 4 years organising parties the best I can. I've been berated (and had the forumites who weren't attending turn against me once), I've had arguments about buffets, condoms, black girls, locker space and babysitters!!
But on the plus side, I've had a blast and I would hope that all those who have attended in the last 4 years have enjoyed themselves.
We've got very comfortable with Chams and they have been very good to us, but it is maybe, just maybe, time to step out of our comfort zone for one party this year.
Knowing that I can't please everyone and not even guaranteeing I will go with the masses, I do still need imput, after all, I don't do these parties for profit and I don't get anything out of them apart from some dam good weekends but at the end of the day..... I don't do these for me, I do them for those that attend and therefore, it is those peoples suggestions I seek as to a possible way forward. |

Nothing like a change we all like it that's essentially what swinging is about. The adventure of playing with someone new. It goes the same for venues so why not some place new it can be still centrally located for all so wouldn't have to move far and the parties can be even bigger and better. I am sure many of the local clubs would jump at having all that custom brought their way.
