Hillside desolate

Every year I make too much and end up throwing loads away. Give me some leftover recipes. I have everything, vegetables, potatoes, stuffing, turkey, pigs in blankets... I don't want to bin it all! What do you do with yours?

Turkey goes into a curry, pigs in blankets are reheated as a snack and the veg goes in the dogs bowl. Stuffing and potatoes goes in the freezer ready for the next roast dinner

"Christmas dinner again. I make double and have it again on Boxing day. "

I could easily eat the dinner I had yesterday today and tomorrow- it was so nice.

I would make giant Yorkshire puddings and make those Christmas dinner wraps that have recently become popular.

Mix it all together with gravy and top it off with a pie crust.

I usually plan lots of imaginative leftover meals, then in reality visit the fridge every half hour today and pick til it's all gone.

I love cold cuts and pickles with baked potatoes on boxing day, and you could do a giant bubble and squeak. Then a curry.... then freeze any turkey left for the cat or future curries!

My other half is making a curry today, but there's enough turkey left for at least two more meals

Exactly..... You can buy the ready made pastry for about 80p.Normal pastry seems to work better than puff pastry as far as holding it together goes.

It's seen many a Monday dinner before...

Allthough don't add the leftover cooked veg to it.. Just goes mushy..

But chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes,"thick gravey is essential" with some fresh veg added to the pie.

Sunday dinner pie..... Mmmmmmmm

Just don't cook too much food in the first place. We had leg of lamb, all that's left is enough lamb for a few sandwiches and some pudding.

Bugger up in a Dixie today

All the veg fried up in a pan

Then use the turkey with some smoked gammon pieces, leek, and the stuffing and chestnuts to make a pie.

Use creme fraiche to make the sauce for inside the pie and extra gravy.

Use the stuffing and chestnuts to crush into your pastry. Yummy

Leafy Warwickshire

Mine’s just vegetables anyway so I’ll stick most of it in the freezer then make a Christmas Day thick soup out of it later in the year.

I'm considering chucking all the meats on a baguette and having some coleslaw or Branston pickle on it.
