I've generally not been a fan as he's taken roles or is self-limiting, making him appear as something of a 1 trick pony. He did well in the show Shag mentions though - coming out of his shell.

Yes he is quite a versatile actor but did get a bit typecast. He was very good as Jeremy Thorp

I’ve just watched one of his newer films, Rewrite, which I quite enjoyed. I have always thought of him as a pretty great actor and someone who’d be a good bet for having a few drinks and a chat with in the pub
