Somewhere In The Ether…

That is very sad news indeed. The Buzzcocks are one of my favourite bands and have always been tremendous live.

RIP Pete

A real shame , he was one of the original punks and although we didn’t know at the time , he was bisexual way before it became fashionable and wasn’t very well tolerated in the seventies .

RIP

Last time I saw him live it was Nov or Dec 1979 at Glasgow Apollo (nearly 40 years ago - jeez!). The lead singer of the Buzzcock's support band was called Ian Curtis.

And that was a truly tragic one too .

What a waste

RIP - too soon, but gave so much energy and pleasure to others, his soul deserves peace for eternity. The sounds live on.

When I think of him, my minds image is of him young and on top of the pops, damn..

It's weird thinking he's now gone.

I hate getting older.... Seeing this happen more and more. Ha!

Loved their stuff particularly the album Love Bites. It still occasionally crops up on a playlist and for a few minutes I’m back in my bedroom aged about 12.

RIP Pete you made some fantastic music and I thank you for that.

The Charlatans just did a brilliant rendition of Ever Fallen in Love at Wembley in tribute. Whole audience joining in and Pete’s picture spread across the screens.
