This is for good and I’ve been here 8 years so it’s hard, plus there’s a lot of experienced people on here who offer sound advice. I’d like to still have access to advice when I need it.

I often think the group dynamic of advice seeking on a thread is more useful than 1:1 messaging with someone - and less intense for support people, more likely you’ll always have people available etc.
I’d recommend staying with a forum only profile if you want to draw on support. Or if not, a group chat set-up as well as 1:1 contacts. Obviously, everyone involved would have to consent to a group set-up though.

I'm always happy to listen and profer advice if required.
Often available at odd times too..... thanks to the joys of shift work!
A friend asked for some advice recently.....and when I asked her why she asked me.....she told me that I was sensible and wise.

My offline advice is £60.00 per hour or part thereof.

I think you should message the people you want to have as advisers, rather than think they should message you. It's been done out of kindness and interest in the past. That doesn't mean folk are going to seek out someone to give advice to. They just happen to be online when advice is asked for.

Ok so this is it, it’s scary this time, no profile waiting in the wings! Massive thank you to everyone over the years, advice has been amazing and appreciated. Let’s give this dating thing a bash.
