It's exactly what you want it to be. If you want a crap time have a crap time. If you go yo a party and it's crap just leave and go somewhere esle. Go to London or a big city where's theres lots of people. Only you yourself can make it enjoyable...

I like it but I generally spend it in my local with a bunch of people I know so it's just like any other night out with a break for some bells.

Near Wells

I can't stand all the new years resolution type stuff, diets, stop smoking,or drinking etc.

I already started planning for next year a while ago, every month I set goals and things to try and achieve.

I don't just need the new year for that

I've always preferred New Year, leave the shit of the previous year behind and look forward to a (hopefully) better year

As someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas, I'm afraid I can't really agree with you OP. And it's even better if I'm working. Quite the earner for about 4 hours work

I dislike it. Over priced entry to a local pub, can’t get back from anywhere in a taxi, everywhere is rammed... etc.

But I’m off to Libs with friends this year so it’ll be a good night - regardless of it being New Year!

"I watch the fireworks on TV, say "meh" then go to bed"

My grandson insists we put the television on to watch the fireworks in London.

We had to run home from a party a couple of years ago because they weren't putting the television on.

It's just another day.

I doubt I'll go anywhere - it's over priced and over crowded and forced festivities.

Can't be arsed.

I'll be at work on New Years Day earning double time instead of being £200 poorer

"I watch the fireworks on TV, say "meh" then go to bed"

same here mostly! Haven’t gone out for New Years Eve for years. Always overpriced, have a quiet one on at home.

Although the last couple of years I’ve been under the weather on NYE so I’ve gone to bed before midnight. When the fireworks go off at midnight I’ve had a quick look out of the curtains then straight back to bed again ..

Never been big on new year. Christmas, I love it!

Usually stay in unless it’s a family party with the kids invited.
