It's not that daft, everyone can afford a pound, so we round up a million people and we all have a turn at receiving
There's a website around where you buy a raffle ticket for a tenner, the winner gets a million pound mansion |

Back in the 80s' when we got paid in cash in a little brown envelope I used to raffle my wages off on site, £10 a ticket. The closest always won. I had about £300 in it but made about £400 in raffle money. That's a 33.3% wage rise every week. |

Very clever keep it affordable and people will buy, actually thinking of raffling a car off in this way, tenner a ticket |

Do it. (Sold as seen) you will definitely sell it for more than you wanted. As you say. Keep it affordable. |

My uncle had a prize winning Greyhound years ago. A guy in Ireland wanted to buy it but it was winning so many races Uncle Tom refused. Anyway, the dog died a year later, Tom contacted the guy in Ireland, said if you want the dog it's £5000. They all agreed and Tom sent the dead dog to Ireland.
Tom never heard from the guy so a year later so decided to phone him in Ireland. The Irish guy said he was so sorry but the dog was dead and must obviously have died in transit. Tom asked him why he never asked for his money back, the Irish guy said that the dog was so well known amongst the gambling fraternity that he raffled him off and kept his gob shut about the dog being dead, he got just over €6000.
Tom asked him about the winner? The Irish fella told him the winner was informed that unfortunately the poor ole dog had died and gave him back his pound.
Everyone was happy. |
