"How about Brad Pitts recent World War Z?
I hear a sequel is coming soon."
I don’t class this as a zombie movie.
The original night of the living dead will always be my favorite.
Not a movie but with BB ending watched dead set again. It’s actually alright |

"Get Out is kind of a zombie movie, and one of the best horror films I've seen in a long time..scary, funny and very original."
There's no zombies in that film? |

Could say the same about 28 days/weeks really. Get Out is arguably zombies in a Stepford Wives way. |

Does anyone remember "Braindead" by Peter Jackson as well? It was one of his early films long before he did the Lord of the rings trilogy. There is a scene involving a house full of zombies and an upturned electric lawnmower which is an absolute splatterfest. |

Actually you are right, they are not dead but infected, the true definition of a zombie is the walking dead however...let's not get to pedantic |

There's a remake already? Hardly seems any time since the Spanish trilogy, which is great : )
I liked V/H/S too, can't recall if it was 1 or 2 that has zombies in it. |

One that’s not been mentioned and certainly isn’t the worst zombie film out there is an Australian film called wyrmwood, it’s a cross between a zombie film and mad max. |

I really like Australian horrors. They can do grim and bleak very well, in the same way that Brit cinema can sometimes.
Never seen that one though, I'll look out for it. |

I'm watching White Zombie with Bela Lugosi on YouTube right now
"My favourites are
Evil Dead, ground breaking in its day
Train to Busan which was just epic
Zombieland just for Bill’s montage "
I thought the Evil Dead remake was pretty good too |

"28 days later is good."
Wonderful film, though I'm a little biased. I love Chris Eccleston in anything.
Sequel is good too, and I'm sure I read of a 28 Months Later in the pipeline somewhere. Or possibly dreamt it |

I’m generally against most remakes but The Night Of The Living Dead remake from 1990 was very respectful to the original whilst providing a nice character twist for Barbara (girl power!)
It was directed by none other than Tom Savini, chief fx make up artist and long time collaborator with George Romero on the original Dawn and Day Of The Dead (you may also remember him playing Sex Machine In From Dusk Til Dawn) |

And he was a biker in dawn of the dead, and a cop in the 2004 remake |
