Hello Friends Fabbers and Forumites.
What a glorious day. I woke up at stupid o'clock for work today. It was dark, damp and foggy .
I've just finished for the day and golly gumdrops it is just beautiful here . Blue skies over my little corner of N Wales .
I arrived home and there was Pooch a big smile and tail wagging to welcome me . His smile never fails to make me smile and the world feel perfect.
I shall don my walking boots and head out after a quick sausage butty . What a day to be alive
.
So dear friends , What’s something simple that makes you smile?
Have a wonderful day , and when it's a dark damp and foggy morning rember what makes you smile and you will start your day well
Taff and Pooch xx |

Hugs from my children.
The view from my front door.
Doing a simple good deed for someone such as helping an old lady reach something down from a high shelf in the supermarket.
Kicking my shoes off after a tiring day.
Getting into a soft comfy bed.
Seeing a Dad playing lovingly with his children..
My list is endless |

Sun evades us here at the moment, but what makes me smile is seeing my daughter being happy as I know I play a small part in that and knowing the decision to bring her into my life was the right one. |

A morning sleepy hug from my son, being able to read a chapter of a book when I can pinch 5 minutes, the first cup of coffee in the morning when the house is quiet and I’m the only one awake, an evening stroll along the seafront when we’re on holiday, the rare quality family time when the kids are actually laughing and playing together instead of arguing with each other, when you wake up for the toilet in the middle of the night and you look with dread at the clock then realise it’s still early and you’ve got a few hours before you have to get up, dog cuddles, cheesecake, passionate kisses, a sign of appreciation from someone that you didn’t expect, the thrill of a new experience. |

Perfectly risen bread and the smell that fills the house. Seeing lots of happy excited families at pumpkin patches. Hugs and words from those I care about. Soft and cuddly jumpers - I love the texture on my skin. Listening to that perfect piece of music when the house is quiet. |

Very simple but; sending a meme or video to someone that I know will make them laugh. Waiting on the reply is such a pure moment of joy. Probably quite immature but thats what gets me
In gereral, making people laugh makes me smile. |

And a perfect day like today. Spend the morning baking cakes, the rest of the day in the sun with my kids, laughing and mucking around at the park.
Only thing missing was hubby, he was working |

When I come downstairs to a bombsite in the kitchen and realise my child who no longer lives at home, has paid a midnight visit and him and his girlfriend will be surfacing at some point that day. |

Lots of simple things, like flipping pillows over to get to the cool side, though had a really good one today.
Simple plan of walking return journey to shops. Spot friend across the road as she's messaging me about something else. Agree to have a coffee, hour chat about life, coping mechanisms and stuff. Not planned though thoroughly enjoyable. |

I sadly no longer have a dog, but it was a sunny and warm day up here in Leeds, so I decided to go for a job mid afternoon. Did a nice 4 mile stretch through a large parkland area, then finished and grabbed a coffee from the heritage site café.
I sat down and admired the colours of the trees and grass in that golden hour light. A small staffie ran over to me, dropped its ball and just smiled at me waiting for me to throw it. I did and had a nice game of fetch with it till the owner came over.
Thats kept me smiling all evening.

My daughters.
When a tune you haven't heard in ages pops up.
Fresh bread/cakes baking.
Unexpected text messages.
Warm towels after a shower.
Waking in the morning next to my lovely. |

Thank you, I love rescue dogs as they're a bit like me, Not always great looking but a heart of gold once you earn their trust. |
