I totally agree their donuts are the best, jam all the way! They actually make and fry them in store unlike most who's come in frozen ready made and go in an oven=dry donuts yuk. |

Morrisons, a little greasy and with powdered sugar, so not scoring highly in my book.
Sainsbury's, not bad, again a little greasy.
I like a doughnut to taste like it's been baked rather than fried and I think Tesco nails this. However, they pack them too fast now and the heat in the sealed bag melts the sugar and ruins them. They used to be so good.
I take this a little seriously it seems. |

Asda do the worst Morrisons and Sainsburys are pegged for first place Morrisons though have the non drip raspberry filling so they just clip it.
Oh and it has to be raspberry filling IMHOP. |

The only reason I know Sainsbury's is the best is I went round each supermarket in my hometown (Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Morrison's) and taste tested them with the family.
We came to the general consensus that Sainsbury's are the best.
There is nothing wrong with taking doughnut eating seriously. |

"They are ok but nothing beats a freshly made original glazed from krispy kreame"
I agree that original glazed KK are the best but Sainsbury’s beat them by value for money. I can have 15 Sainsbury’s donuts for the price of one KK |

The fight over the best supermarket doughnut has begun! I'm taking notes!
There's a couple of shops in Shoreditch that charges a fiver for ONE doughnut! I don't know how they can justify that price!

Not that I've eaten a doughnut for ages, but Sainsbury's for me are/were the best with morrisons next. Used to really like morrisons lemon curd ones.
Friends say nothing beats Krispy Kreme though, but I've never tried one. What's so special about them? |

They are really nice, lots of different flavours, but pricey.
You can watch them being "born" in the Krispy Kreme bakery in Selfridges in Brun...watch them go along the conveyor belt, into the hot fat, come out, get glazed...Mmmn. |

Peterborough |
Over in Peterborough, to be exact Serpentine Green in Hampton, the large Tesco (only one 's' in that name) stocks these pricey sugary treats. But if you are too fat, to lazy and haven't managed to order your via Deliveroo/Justeat then you can poodle on down to a drive thru KK. That's if the other takeaways don't tempt you first. Mustn't spoil your appetite! |

"Sainsbuys do the best doughnuts
This. Jam donuts with sugar on.
Agreed. Plenty of jam, and proper sugar not powdered"
I’ll get two bags next time then. |

You really shouldn't have told me that. I drive past the Serpentine at least twice a month. Now, how many KK's could I eat between there and my parents? |

They cost ten times the price and they are made for an American pallette. Not nice. |

"Sainsburys for me
I spent £3.50 on a single doughnut from Crosstown Doughnuts today.
Good? Yes
Worth it? No"
That’s it. That’s about 25 Sainsbury’s jam donuts. |
