How do you deal with the posting about the poster above when they’re no longer the poster above.

Oh the problems that etiquette throws our way.
So you have dived into a thread and you’re desperate to tell that guy above that you’re going to avoid them, and lo and behold somebody got in before you.
Do you
1.Do another post about the person who is now above you.
2.Delete your comment.
3.Do nothing but feel a bit bad.
4.Don’t give two tuppence to the whole thing anyway.
I think I’m a mix of 1 and 3.  |

I "usually" preface my response with the users name - that way there's no room for doubt/confusion etc - found out early on that my longer replies usually meant lots of people had dived in before me  |

Certain threads frequently move with such celerity that one often finds ones comments designed for an intended recipient, lost amidst a sea of (obviously faster) replyee’s.

no point in making things awkward and deleting he comment, these games should be fun and not a way to make someone feel shit about themselves or left out.
although coz there is a high amount of sex pests around i can get why some people like to avoid/delete/not give the wrong impression as it can lead to unwanted advances. |
