Is it just me or is this the most annoying word ever?! So many start a message with it. Nice legs hun/How’s your day hun. Just makes me delete straight away. Or I am just being picky again. |

No I hate it too - don't mind someone I am seeing calling me honey or darling but total strangers calling me hun just sets my teeth on edge - particularly popular in Portsmouth. |

Oddly enough plenty of ladies I have chatted to have referred to me as hun. I don't like it either but I give everyone a chance as we are all product of our environment. However on the whole people who have referred to me as hun have tended to also be people that I have found not so intresting. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating so I never exclude just because someone has said one cringe worthy word to me. |

I was in a rather expensive clothes shop on the weekend and the assistant called me mate twice....I wrote a letter to head office about his use of such an over familiar word....Sir or master suits me much better! |

It usually means I'm not gonna shag him if he calls me hun.
My shopkeeper calls me hun and gorgeous.
He's not getting shagged either. |
