adults are all getting homemade form me this year so i've got pickled onions, beetroot, chutnies, jams, syrups,relishes and jellies. just got a jar of pickled eggs to make (boak) by special request. |

lovely, when my grandma died, noone could find her recipe book and it was full of everything that you said. Im not good at doing it myself but might give onions a go next year.

haven't brined them in the past and they are crunchier that way. but i did brine them this year and they seem slightly squidgy...
and since i don't like the things i can't really test them... damn. if you live closer i could try them out on you! trad or with chilli?? |

might have a spare jar left over... the beetroot with chilli is very popular (you wouldn't believe the amount of beetroot my family can consume!) so i did some onions with it too. |

That can be one of my new hobbies for next year having a go at making chutneys and pickles. Everyone loves recieving that kind of stuff |
