I'm listening to Urban Hymns by the Verve for the millionth time, safe to say, I think its my favourite album.
If you had to chose one album to listen to for the rest of your life, which one would it be.
FYI, this is NOT a joke thread. |

"I don't know if I could pick just one album. It's a bit like picking your favourite child."
Picking your favourite child is easy. Go for the one with the brightest future |

Such a difficult question as the music my ears wanna hear is different dependant on my mood. I think I'd have to go for something tried and tested that will last to the end of time, so "Bat out of hell" by meatloaf of course.
However, I can but hope that one day I'll be wanting to listen to happy love songs that remind me in every verse how lucky I am. |

You want me to pick just one out of Steve McQueen (Prefab Sprout), The Liberty Of Norton Folgate (Madness), The Specials (The Specials), All Mod Cons (The Jam), Lexicon Of Love (ABC), American Idiot (Green Day), I Just Can't Stop It (The Beat), Neither Washington Nor Moscow (The Redskins), Park Life (Blur), 48:13 (Kasabian), Definitely Maybe (Oasis), Employment (Kaiser Chiefs), Seldom Seen Kid (Elbow) and several others?
Impossible!! |

If someone held a gun to my head and threatened to pull the trigger if I didn't choose then the deluxe 22 track version of The Liberty Of Norton Folgate (Madness) would get my vote but only because choosing is preferable to a hole in the head!! |

Certainly in my top 5, but if I had to chose just one it would be The Stranger by Billy Joel. One of the very few albums ever recorder that doesn't have a weak track on it. |

"Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan. I could easily listen to this album on repeat until the end of time."
Fantastic songwriter but his voice makes me want to destroy whatever sound system it is coming out of! |

I'd probably choose Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run. I also have Bryan Adams's Reckless and Billy Joel's Songs in the Attic in my top 3.
Then again (as mentioned in the thread earlier) Bon Jovi's Crossroad is pretty damn good and Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast rates pretty high too. |

It’s one of those things that’s defined by mood, forever changing and therefore almost impossible to pinpoint
Love - Forever Changes
Mothers of Invention - Weasels Ripped My Flesh
Biosphere - Patashnik
Nick Drake - Bryter Layter
Prince - Prince
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Air - moon Safari
Not in any particular order but these are my go to ones

"Dark Side of the Moon.
Great choice I may plump for pulse seen as it’s got dark side in full and then I still get to hear shine on , comft etc "
Yeah, but Guy Pratt plays slap bass on 'Money', which even he has admitted was ill-advised |
