Between an hour and ten to and hour forty depending on traffic; time to wind in to or out of work mode, but maybe a tad too long. Forty five minutes is my ideal. |

Going to work in the morning is ten minutes. Coming home in the morning is 20 minutes. Going to work in the afternoon is 45 minutes.
Coming home in the evening is either ten minutes if I’m getting a lift, or 45 minutes. |

"2 hours there, two hours back.
And it costs me the princely sum of £6k a year for the privalidge. "
Woah, that's shite. So, you spend 20 hours a week just getting to and from work?
That's before you're even at work
Mate, that's no life. You need to get the hell out of there |

Unless you're on a six figure salary, it's not worth it! Leave. |

Usually at least 3.5k miles a month "

I quit my fabulous job because my daily commute got so bad I couldn't take it anymore. A drive to the train station, train to Waterloo, 2 tubes and a 15 minute walk and I arrived. Five hrs daily. Years of this nearly finished me off. My social life was a G & T on the train. Sad. |

"How do you do your daily commute to work and how long does it take?
I'm lucky that it's only a quickly 10 minute car drive on country roads to work." train tube bus 1 hr but then if I’m working away who knows....... |

"What I don’t get is why people are sharing their commutes? So funny "
Because thats the entire point of this thread?
At least its a change from "kiss fuck avoid", or "what are your Friday night plans?" |

Day shift: about forty to forty-five minutes.
Nights: About half an hour.
Not terrible usually but with traffic it can be a fucking nightmare around here

I used to do well over 70000 miles a year when I was in sales, and the motorways weren't permanent stationary. |
