Ah yes, it’s a classic recurring thread but always worth revisiting!
What are you popping into your little bag?
I’ll have some Mojos (4 for a penny), cola bottles, foam strawberries and aniseed balls for starters please ..

Think black jacks and fruit salads were always premium and were 2p? Although Im probably thinking 1988 onwards tbh |

Sweet peanuts.
Haven't seen them in years.
I found one of those old fashion sweet shops, with all the jars, scales and paper bags, in Wells a few years ago. I was like the proverbial kid in a sweet shop, it just cost a hell of a lot more than I remember  |

Do they still sell those chocolate cigarettes!? In proper looking Fag packets?
Or those white ones with a red end that used to come with a collectible card inside?
Oh and throw in a couple of Bazooka Joe chewing gums with their little minature cartoon strips inside! |

Scots on here will recall ABC's, the hard small sweets of A-Z formation. A Creamola Foam sachet! Yummy!
A Soor Ploom or two. A small MaCowans Toffee Bar. Washed down later by ice cold Irn Bru, out of a Glass Bottle as it tasted far far better than out of a plastic one as is the case these days! Plus you got money back on the bottle when you returned it to any shop! |

If I was really pushing the boat out I'd get one of those ice cream cups/cones with marshmallow and sprinkles instead of ice cream, that's about 5p left to spend mmm fruit salads and blackjacks methinks |

Its a bloody long while since i bought penny sweets but when we went to the cinema we had 10p..8p to get in the cinema and 2p.for sweets we either bought a pack of opal fruits or 8 fruit salads or pink fish |
