I just started watching the 2016 version of Swallows and Amazons on iPlayer. Five minutes in and there's already guns drawn and guys chasing each other along the top of a speeding locomotive.

I mean good grief. If I wanted to see James Bond-esque antics than I would, oh I don't know, watch a James Bond film?

If your talking about the lates remake, it’s not bad, and pretty close to the book. Stick with it.

My kids really enjoyed it, I thought it was alright.
