I think the minimum age for anyone is 18. You will be too young for some. Our oldest grandson is similar age to you, so it wouldn't feel right for us. Good luck  |

I wouldn't worry about it, you're over 18. If they don't want to meet you it's just one of those things.
Just be wary of young single women profiles. They seem to be the most prolific wank fantasy fakes. Some are real, many aren't. |

Maybe try searching for younger people, you may find you fit their age preferences then. A lot of people would feel very awkward just thinking about meeting people who are young enough to our children/grandchildren. I have a nephew your age, I wouldn’t feel comfortable meeting someone the same age. I also wouldn’t feel comfortable meeting someone a similar age to my parents too, it just doesn’t feel right to me

I'm not aware it is teeming with fake profiles. Some people use the site for different things, so the fact that they may not have a veri doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to use this site. Are there clubs near you that do a young persons club night? |

You are right, but you have to be flexible and prepared to travel. As said, be selective, do the research, talk on the phone and hopefully you will have a good meet. |

For some people (me) big age difference is good, but not for everybody.
The reality is that the younger you are, the more likely you are to be sensitive to the comments of others, as you haven't as much life-experience to draw on as older people.
Develop a thicker skin and simply enjoy yourself, nobody is ever attractive to everybody but there is always somebody for everybody...in my humble opinion!

I’m 25 and have had messages from guys and couples asking why a “young woman like you is on a site like this” I just say, the same reason they are... for fun!
I’m sure there are many women who’d like a guy of your age, you just have to find them! Use the advanced search and pop in your age etc and see what comes up! |

I'd say most people won't really start being successful on this site until their mid to late twenties when most will consider them more emotionally mature and will stop thinking about their own children's age and consider you an actual adult |

I agree with your point and I'm sure there are plenty of users who are in a similar situation you were in to this day. I feel that only in recent years has the popularity of the site grown by a large amount, and it would be smart to remove the truly blank profiles. |

I personally think it’s just younger men who struggle as I think more older women are less likely to meet with younger men, whereas I think most older men don’t care for age aslong as she’s over 18!
I haven’t had a meet yet due to time wasters but plenty messages from older men to show they have no hang ups about age! Except two! One decided against meeting as I was younger than his youngest, another said it just didn’t feel right which I understand!

Sites like this rely on the genuineness of the users, it doesn't make sense for profiles with no bios, pictures, veris or posts to be on here for years at a time.

I agree with your point and I'm sure there are plenty of users who are in a similar situation you were in to this day. I feel that only in recent years has the popularity of the site grown by a large amount, and it would be smart to remove the truly blank profiles."
Well my profile would have been removed then yet i was an active swinger despite having an empty profile so that would make there even less active swingers on Fab !

It's just me being nitpicky I see these profiles on my search results and wonder why they're here when I have no indication what they're after. It's just another thing making the search for meeting people tiresome for me (not saying that meeting people is easy!)  |

So use the tools on the site to stop the unverified appearing in the results or block them as you go.
Your age will rule out a percentage of the site but again you can search for only people who are looking for someone of your age which should help.
If you're limiting the pool further by restricting your travel (and just because you live at home doesn't mean you have to tell them what you're up to!) and haven't researched clubs - hell I live in Devon but know the clubs in and around London having done research so I could visit one- then it is likely to be hard work on here. |
