Harrys Razors...

In a town Fab forgot

I spend a fortune on razor blades so thought going to Harrys Razors would save me a fair bit of money.

That's pretty much the basis of their sales pitch.

But blade for blade there's only a couple of pence difference between Harrys and the usual brand I buy from the supermarket.

Over hyped much?

Oh I was going to look at them as well for my sons. Don’t think I’ll bother. Don’t know why razors are so expensive really x

They certainly have some slick marketing.

I have a Dovo fixed blade straight edge, it gives a closer shave than anything else i've used

Somewhere In The Ether…

Of course, the best way to save money on razor blades is to simply grow a massive, manly beard of epicly awesome proportions; enough in fact, to make even the likes of Moses and Grisly Adams envious

So if the quality is better then it is value for money

Camberley

I've got a Harry

Works fine on a day or twos growth but pulls and snags on longer stubble.

I'm not convinced they're any better than my blue and turquoise Gillette twin blades.

Although I've not checked, I was told that like for like, women's razors were more expensive than mens.

If that's the case perhaps more women should buy mens blades....

I wanted to buy refills for my Venus but can't justify the spends, does anyone know why blades are so expensive? Worked out cheaper to buy another Venus starter kit (another handle then) with 3 starter blades included.

If you do shave a safety razor is the way to go.

Much better shave and cost is much cheaper.

Razor can be had for £13, use shave oil, blades are £9 for a 100. I don't shave but use one for lining my beard in.
