He's mistaking empathy and possibly humour for something else.
Why isn't he going to his local practice to get his wound redressed? Community nursing is reserved for people who cannot mobilise and that includes using public transport.
If he makes an inappropriate move, i hope she discharges him.

No nurse would risk her registration for a casual fuck. The most he could hope for, is her permission to contact her when he is no longer her patient.

Personally I think doing something like that is totally inappropriate. This lady is in an enclosed area with a stranger just doing her job and it would be an unfair position to put her in.
My husband recently had surgery and had the nurse visiting for a while, every nurse he had was lovely, smiley and chatty. We never read anything in to it...it's part of their job to put patients at ease.
If your friend is seriously interested then he should just ask her if she would like to go for a coffee or something |

This happened to my Neice, she was a mobile carer and got assaulted by a guy who thought 'she was up for it'  had I been allowed I would of ripped his bollox of and fed them to him whole.
As it was the company started sending out two burly males to deal with him after 
I just can't believe people make jokes of this kind of stuff it's sick. |

Any inappropriate behaviour, unless a medical reason, refuses the "duty of care". Where a medical reason exists, then alternative arrangements should be made: male nurse, two nurses, arrangements as an out-patient or seen at a practice... As examples. No-one should suffer as a result of their job. I feel for your niece. |

It really bothers me that people make jokes about this too, as I had the exact same thing happen to me when I worked as a community carer. The company I worked for didn't do anything about it though, so I told the man who was his regular carer. Then he got it a hell of a lot of trouble |

This is my job...she probably has several patients to visit, has to be "nice" and has tried to put him at ease. If someone approached me at work in their house, I can tell you now, it would make me feel creeped out and awkward. I am a person doing my job.
As a student on a ward a guy told me he could "r..e" me if he wanted. The ward sister had him removed within 10 minutes. |

If it was real then he would be in trouble and his address and details are available to the Police for a possible harassment charge. No one with an ounce of brain matter would even think to do this to a District Nurse. I suggest admin move this to the relevant section |

As a district nurse myself it would be deemed as inappropriate behaviour, he'd probably be reported & possibly treatment withdrawn if he persisted. He's a patient nothing more, not to mention the NMC would strike the nurse from the register if they were to accept this man's advances.
The nurses may have to attend in pairs for their safety plus they'd be laughing at him for being stupid. Lol |
