Speaking of ghastly phonetics, anything containing /gl/ makes me shudder. It's such an awful phoneme pair, no wonder foreigners struggle so much with learning English! |

I agree. Although 'OK' itself was actually a short form of 'Orl Korrect' apparently written by someone in the States on consignments sent during WWII |
