I like the lunacy of the flat earthers.... why can’t they just travel to the edge and look over for themselves....
Though OP it should be conspiracy fantasy as a theory is a tested and well substantiated unifying explanation for a set of verified and proven factors.....

That's the beauty of this conspiracy, they didn't have to hide her, just change the names on on both ships while they were both berthed in H&W, so if you believe the theory, the Olympic (which sailed for many years) is actually the Titanic and vice versa. As I said its been disproven already |

I'd say the moon landings happened cause the rocket was actually big enough to hold just the right amount of fuel needed to get there and back......but there's no doubt that NASA used training/false footage to use in propaganda videos thus sparking the whole debate of did we/didn't we go to the moon.
Anyway, I think satellites have gotten good enough now that you can see the landing sites in photos |

Do they know that the Indian government has confirmed that it really did happen? Their first lunar mission in 2008 was a flypast if the moon.
It sent back photographs that showed all the landing sites, the places where the lunar rovers were left, everything.
Most conspiracy fantasists quietly ignore this.

I have a conspiracy theory of my own concoction that I don't actually believe, but I reckon has legs:
So, those familiar with Islamic finance will know that usury (or profiting from debt) is haram; but in the West our entire economic model is predicated on profiting from debt, fractional reserve banking, endogenous money and the like...
My crackpot theory is that the conflict between Islam and the West has nothing to do with a clash of cultures, nothing to do with the oil that lies in mainly Muslim countries, and instead is driven by the bankers, Bilderberg group and the like because of the incompatibility between the two banking systems.
Also neatly ties in with the "Oooooooooh, the Jews run the banks!" and "Jews and Muslims hate each other!" stuff

One did last the course.
Pretty much everybody knows the Titanic story (although there are some differences of opinion about various parts of it.)
The Britannic was sunk by a mine while serving as a hospital ship in WW1.
Olympic served for over 20 years until she was obsolete and was scrapped.

The Russians did claim it was faked, but in the pre-internet cold war days, news coming from the USSR was strictly controlled. They had the technology to monitor the launch and track it to the moon, but there is doubt whether they actually had the tech to monitor the landing craft. My conspiracy theory is that they didn't actually land on the lunar surface in 1969 due to lack of the final technology needed, but that they actually did launch the rocket purely for anti-USSR propaganda. They then perfected the technology, and 2 years later they successfully landed and planted their flag. There you go |

"The Philadelphia experiment actually happened and someone wrote a non-fiction book about it - Anthony Summers I think."
No it didn’t.... not in the way book was written..... poor research done by the author based on pseudoscience and the misinterpretation of genuine Degaussing experiments to make ships magnetically “invisible” to magnetic mines....
Nothing to do with invisibility
Hoax story.... written by some who adds 1 & 1 together and makes 57...

The Olympic may have had a longer career, but it also had a major accident while Titanic was being built.
There was a nurse that was on all three ships when they had major accidents (and, even more remarkable, she carried on working on boats until she retired). |

I actually believe this to be true.
When The X-Files first came out, there were a whole load of conspiracy theories and magazines. I remember reading one and seeing that the pictures don't actually add up.
I do think we landed on the moon, but the pictures/video released is fake.
Another theory (which I don't agree with) is that the Apollo mission was a set-up (the one which almost didn't make it back). The journeys there and back were so uneventful that the American public were bored and not taking any interest. So they set up a fake emergency to capture their imagination again. |

America planted a flag on the moon, rubbing the USSR's nose in it. Effectively claiming the moon as theirs. Look up in the sky at night and there's a great big advert for the success of capitalism and the failure of communism shining down on us. Talk about red rag to a bull.

Please do not use the word theory. A theory requires substantiatied and verifiable evidence which not of theses proponents ever can produce.
They are conspiracy ramblings or fantasies at best....

"
Definition of theory (from the OED):
"
theory
NOUN
1.
A supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained.
‘Darwin's theory of evolution’
1.1
A set of principles on which the practice of an activity is based.
‘a theory of education’
mass noun ‘music theory’
1.2
An idea used to account for a situation or justify a course of action.
‘my theory would be that the place has been seriously mismanaged’
1.3
Mathematics A collection of propositions to illustrate the principles of a subject."
Theories do not have to be based in evidence. It is an idea.
And btw, the moon landing pictures does have evidence to support it. |

Fuddle theory; that all conspiracy theories are automatically silly because conspiracies don't happen. Instead, anything that looks like a conspiracy was always only ever coincidence or human error.
It's a theory held by people with absolutely no knowledge of world history |

Has to be flight MH370. No end to any conspiracy theories there as it seems there are no real answers to what happened. I think it got abducted by aliens from the nazi base in Antarctica due to flat earthers travelling on the plane about to expose the truth about non existent moon landings and is now parked next to the B29 bomber on the moon. Also Elvis was on board taking a break from working in the fish and chip shop. The big question is how did he afford a first class seat? |

I can't get how all those planes are spraying out and creating chemtrails in the sky - and the staff are obviously happy to do it and then be affected by it. Thousands of planes, all over the world, thousands of people and it remains top secret.
Obviously anyone who knows what's really in these chemtrails will likely wear a gas mask 24/7, or cover themselves in clingfilm |

Moon Landings ... It happened
Maybe it did, maybe it didn't.
One of my closest friends is 100% convinced that the original moon landings didn’t happen.
He’s wrong. The Russians monitored every move America made in the race to the moon, if they thought for one minute it was a fake they’d make sure the world knew about it."

But they decided not to go there themselves even though every other time a nation put a flag in a piece of soil every other nation that could rushed to plant their flag there too |

"That they switched the Titanic with her damaged sister ship and purposely sank her to claim the insurance money... Its complete bollox but I thought it was a great theory to come up with
Oh no - they'll have to re-shoot Titanic, the movie with the real story.
They should re-shoot it anyway.
How a movie (albeit mostly fictional) about the Titanic can make no mention of the Californian and Captain Lord is beyond me."
Didn't they? I can't remember the movie that well tbh. Although I saw that James Cameron did another movie about the sinking, more an reenactment than a movie, it was quite good |

I wouldn't call what I'm about to recommend conspiracy theories but they are certainly alternative ideas. New theories if you will.
Graham Hancock, he's a respected anthropologist and philosopher. He has great and interesting videos on youtube. He's in no way condescending like many if these types of theorists he's factual and gets points acrosa very well. He's worth a look |

I wouldn't describe him as respected in either of those fields. If anything, I'd describe him as a historian of some kind, patching together clues from occult groups, religions, ancient myths, etc that infer something (somewhat outlandish usually). He's a bit of a Von Daniken isn't he? |

He's great, not sure I buy into all of what he says but he does make his points very well. John Anthony West is great too |

"I think Andy Kauffman is still very much alive.
What’s the best one out there?
Discuss.
Who is/was Andy Kaiffman?
See Tony Clifton"
Andy Kaufman was an American comedian in the show Taxi. Jim Carey played him in "Man on the Moon".
What's the conspiracy relating to him? |

The original Cameron movie didn't make any mention of Lord or the Californian which I found very surprising as their actions (or lack of) was central to the high loss of life.
The Californian (Captained by Lord) was stopped for the night in an ice field and actually saw the distress flares fired by Titanic, and could clearly see the ships lights. At the inquiry Lord said that he thought they were "company signals" Who the hell he thought the Titanic was signalling in mid Atlantic? was a question never asked.
The Californian was also equipped with a Marconi set (radio to you and me) but Lord stated that it was switched off overnight. he also said that he (or a member of his crew) saw the Titanic's lights "disappear over the horizon" They had actually witnessed the lights going out just before she sank. Also many survivors stated that they could see the lights of another ship in the distance.
The eventual rescue ship (Carpathia) took over 5 hours to reach the site of the sinking and picked up over 700 survivors. It was estimated at the time that had the Californian responded to the distress flares it could have been on site in under 2 hours and could have possibly made it before Titanic actually sank.
While some did defend Lord's actions, most at the time labelled him a coward.
The 1958 film "A Night to Remember" based on Walter Lord's (no relation to Captain Lord) book strongly featured the Californian's role in the sinking.
When Cameron's film was released I was actually looking forward to see how the Californian would be portrayed. Needless to say I was more than surprised when it wasn't mentioned at all.
I would also add that Cameron's portrayal of 1st officer Murdoch's actions was not only disgraceful but slanderous. |
