Picard to return!

Somewhere In The Ether…

Yes, Sir Patrick Stewart delighted Trekkies worldwide earlier this month when he announced that Captain Jean-Luc Picard will return to our screens once more albeit in a different direction from what we’ve seen in the past.

Brilliant news right?

But sod all that, because I’m actually here to start a bloody great riot by asking the age old question: Who was the best Starfleet Captain: Kirk or Picard?

Let battle commence!

(I’ll be in the corner randomly shouting out Janeway, Sisko, Archer and Pike just to stir up the shit a bit more)

Hull,England

Has to be Janeway as she was all alone out there, not sure if Sisko makes the list as a station captain and we all know that Odo was the real star of DS9

Jean-Luc followed by Sisko, on a slightly different tack I like Pine as Kirk but I don’t like Shatner...

"Jean-Luc followed by Sisko, on a slightly different tack I like Pine as Kirk but I don’t like Shatner..."

I agree. I grew up watching Shatner but he was never my favourite character. I'm more inclined to like Kirk with Chris Pine in the role.

I always thought the original Star Trek was pretty awful. Next Generation was much better with better actors too.

"It's a toss up between Janeway and Kirk"

Put a woman in charge and the first thing she does it get lost.

Could never believe in Sisco either, too much of a wimp

Having met Patrick Stewart through work many years ago I found him very rude & arrogant!

I know someone with a t-shirt saying - the right way, the wrong way, the Janeway lol

Janeway, of course.

Being a Trekkie fan, I’ll watch the new series with Picard.

Loved the humour between him, Bones and Spock.

Kirk for enterprise, but Janeway close 2nd as captain although she was not on the enterprise. 7of9 is still the hottest crew member

I’d have to suggest Commander T'Po who served as the Science Officer on the Enterprise in Star Trek : Enterprise

Plymouth and Newcastle (sometimes)

My favourite is Captain Slog. Never knew what he looked like but he spoke at the beginning of every episode...Not sure if he was in the films though.

If i was going to pick a starfleet captain to help me pleasure one of the lovely ladies from Fab in mmf then it would be kirk.

If i was picking a captain to protect the federation and its ideals against the klingon, borg etc its Picard
