Hi guys enjoy the movie, I seen it and am just not sure ?? I’m hoping I watch again and it magically improves but I feel the film we wanted didn’t materialise.

Ano Steve has said he enjoyed it but if I was him an worked on something so long an pushed for movie for so long I’d be happy to see it on big screen plus as it’s a teen feel good style it will attract new readers maybe.

I just wasn’t sure I enjoyed it - I hope you do I don’t wanna ruin it for people by my views but I have loved this book so much I’ve read it till pages falling out of the book (literally) I was excited soon as seen a fin an heard a blip on a radar but it just didn’t meet the expectations I had in my mind an vision I hoped for.

I loved the action and story and characters but I just feel the meg was lost especially the gore an killing haha

What others feek

Let's be honest,if it stars Jason Statham, it's not going to be highbrow. I'll try the book and as the movie still features Ruby Rose, I'll probably drool over her

Just back from seeing this film, I wasn’t overly impressed there were quite a few good jumpy bits and some funny bits too but the best bit by far was a particular shower/towel scene

Apparently, gorier death scenes were filmed but the studios wanted the movie to have a PG-13/12A rating so the scenes were taken out.

This movie had the potential to be a good shark movie with plenty of action and gore but nope, the studios intervened and turned this movie into a high budget version of those stupid shark movies you see on Syfy.

The film is good as a action fil, Jason is good in the role and I did enjoy the nod to the books.

The struggle I had was I adore the books and have read them millions of times since they first was released. I wanted more shark haha

I wanted the gore and blood I know Jason signed on the film early due to the promise of a r rated film but during post production Warner’s decided to go for a 12a rating, so much of the scenes filmed were left on the cutting room floor.

hopefully some day there will be a uncut version but the director has said he unsure as the graphics an stuff hadn’t been completed

Again ppl should go watch and enjoy It.

Another excuse to persecute sharks...

The original Jaws movie almost wiped out parts and species of the shark population.

This will do the same!!!

You are more likely to die from being hit by a vehicle than be bitten by a shark.

In the UK, even less so. In fact never..

Jelly fish take 100's of lives each year. Sharks, If you are lucky, 10ish.

If a shark attack occurs it is usually a case of mistaken identity. Surfers in wetsuits on waves look like seals!!!

They just spit it out.. and which means the surfer bleeds to death before they get treatment.

Hollywood are c**ts for bringing this kind of movie out again!

The trailers put me off. Sharks interest me. I enjoyed the first jaws book and film but the trailers for this looked comical.

Tiny tiny people being pursued by a gigantic shark ? I don't think so. That'd be like me filling up in individual dust specs.

Amen sir!

Peter Benchley who wrote both the original book and the subsequent screenplay for Steven Spielberg’s seminal classic, Jaws is noted as saying that he very much regrets the negative impact it had on Great White sharks (they were virtually hunted to the point of extinction in the aftermath).

Thankfully, we now better understand these often demonised, apex predators and they are actively protected in many parts of the world.

Yes, but you know how thick people are. Most can't work out when the subject matter is talking about a cgi fossil, or a real animal pushed to the brink by a Chinese soup recipe.

I feel this is the most daft post from mistress A

The film is amazing and fun, I doubt anyone will leave the cinema thinking great I wanna Hunt a meg cos I seen it in a movie, people I know who read the books and enjoyed the movie have grown interest to learn more about the animal same as I did and also own a meg tooth. The most people will do is say wow what a film or I wanna know more it’s not real!!!!

Jaws was different as it was something that did hunt off the New Jersey coast as shown in jaws which was based on another true story called close to she shore.

Because that was based on truth and cos attacks in Australia and Africa caused a panic. I hate that as I adore sharks and studied them in past esp the great white, as people thought the shark would just attack not realising it was the panic movement and raised heart rate that caused it but in time people learned... I doubt anyone will go away thinking I wanna Hunt a meg

Please use fact if going to complain about poor sharks as the gw is actually increasing in numbers an breading cycles have improved in past decades

I would say watch the film first i know the point ur trying to make and as a animal lover and someone that has swam with sharks and would never want one of these beautiful amazing creatures hurt the film is done in such away that no one could ever be stupid enough to take it the wrong way like they did with jaws, please watch the film i would definetly reccomend it

Please use fact if going to complain about poor sharks as the gw is actually increasing in numbers an breading cycles have improved in past decades "

We will agree to disagree. But as you are a person closer to the subject matter you will see first hand if this film has an effect on the population..

I do hope and wish I am proven wrong... only time will tell...

"Another excuse to persecute sharks...

Have u even seen the film before u rip it to shreds ! Jaws was a shark that could actually be about in those proportions and can be rogue like that shark was, this is about a dinosaur shark that hasnt existed for millions and millions of years so to compare it to the affect jaws had on society is just silly really no offence met

None taken. But you will be well aware of the sheep mentality of the world.. it doesn't matter what kind of shark it is. It is still a shark in the eyes if the human sheep.

And we know what the dumb ass sheep are like... kill the sharks before they kill us!!!

That is the sad fact...

Well you already have been as in past 20 yrs there have been many b movies about shark attacks and no numbers have dropped they have increased. In past decade we have had deep blue sea, the sharknado series, shallows and 47 meters down again no reports of reduced numbers due to human killings.

Hope this helps
