I always believed there is a rule that if someone declines to reply to a message you should respectfully leave them alone and take it as a no thank you. Am I right? X |

I'd much prefer a quick "no thank you" if not interested. Its never a problem to know, after all not everyone is for everyone And at least everyone knows (why can't fab have a quick "sorry not interested" button on messages?)
Thankfully most do reply but I also know the massive amount of messages ladies get here (wifey has a single account too as well as our couples account). So a no reply could potentially mean overwhelmed and can't reply to everyone I may like. |

Not always. Usually if I message somebody and they don't reply I don't bother again. There have been cases where another try was successful but I generally won't try again for a while if I do.
Sometimes women don't mean to not reply. Sometimes you just catch them at a bad time and/or they don't see your message or whatever.

Absolutely, no reply is the less offensive way of saying no. No one likes rejection and rejecting isn't very pleasant either. The simple way around this is to politely stay silent. |

"Alas some of the ones you respond to with a 'no thanks' demand to know why "
If they 'demand' to know why that's just wrong, I agree.
I see no harm in them asking why. The reason may be fixable. Too far away- he might be happy to travel. No face pic- he could send one. Can't accommodate - he could further explain why not. |
