I’m a huge fan of Aldi sugar free tonic. It’s lovely, even on its own

Depends on the gin I think,

Double Dutch is nice if you can find it but my go to would be Fevertree

I also put ginger ale with spicy gin’s like Ophir or rhubarb and lemonade with violet gin

Different gins suit different tonics plus certain fruit too

Depends which I'm drinking as too which one I add x

Definitely Fever Tree.

Turns out that gin, tonic and gin and tonic all seem to have gotten way better than I remember as a student!

Northampton Somewhere

I'm having a glass of bloom gin with the Mediterranean fever tree and a slice of pink grapefruit in, it's lovely.

I noticed Aldi are doing a fevertree version, haven't tried it yet but its in the fridge waiting. If their nobbly bobblys are anything to go by I won't be able to tell the difference

I'm not really a fan of low calorie tonics - they are never as good as the normal ones. Unfortunately I have diabetes so can't have standard tonic.

The supermarket own brand ones I've tried (Asda and Tesco) are absolutely vile.

Fever tree tonic is my favourite but it's so expensive. I always used to buy schewppes slimline but have switched to lidl at 35p a bottle. It's almost as good as fever tree.

My gin of choice at the moment is Tanqueray flor de sevilla. I intend to buy a bottle of hortus citrus gin next time I'm in lidl though.

Best thing is experimenting and mixing and matching, but it can be an expensive mistake

I don't have enough time in my life to work out which tonic goes with which gin. I just have stores own diet tonic. Works well for me.
