"...Underfloor heating or air conditioning, which would you choose?"
Haha
As far as I know everyone has the option of either. Or both.
Jim, that has to be the most random question I've ever heard
Hahaha |

The difference between me and some of these posters Jim is that I won’t change my mind when the cold weather comes, I’m not fickle like that.
I would sell my granny for air con ... everywhere I go, any time of year because I’m always hot.
Ps I don’t have a granny |

I can't afford both. I'm not made of money! |

Ah well, you seem to be a popular lad so I'm sure the offers will fly in to keep you warm so go for air con |

Aircon for sure, I thrive in the cold and will happily just pop a jumper on if needed. I only wear a coat if it is pissing it down with rain even if below zero. I have a very comfortable cake layer which keeps me insulated. In the summer however it is unbearable any time it is above 20 degrees even if I have cold showers frequently throughout the day and my house gets no breeze or air movement however strong a gale outside there may be. |

Air con.
I have central heating so could easily make do without underfloor heating.
What I don't have is a room in my house cool enough to get a decent night's sleep |

Are you having hot flushes?
I believe I may be "
Pop round to see us. We’ve got a ceiling fan in the bedroom |

Friend of mine got a mouse in their underfloor (I mean it got in, not as an optional extra)
It chewed through wiring and did all manner of damage which was then a proper ball ache to locate and put right.
So that kind of put me off the underfloor.
And mice. |

Properly installed concrete floor and ground sourced heat pump can keep the floor at a constant temperature. Set that to 12 degrees add a fan and you have a cooling system for the few weeks per decade when its hot, as well as a heating system for the rest of the time. |

The bungalow that ma Dad built in 1960 had a hot blown air system with vents that went under the parquet floor. Where I live now is a shoebox flat on the top floor, I have a convection heater in ma living area which is more than adequate and I only stick it on for an hour or two in the winter months.
It's got to be air conditioning for me please. What time are you coming round to install it Jim? |

Air conditioning, installed it upstairs and downstairs 2 years ago and it's been fantastic. All modern air con has a heat pump built in which is a highly efficient heater as well. |

Air conditioning is essential for me and the underfloor heating isn't needed as my heating is ok - but I've no air conditioning here
It's just too hard in the UK to get it, compared to other countries. |
