I gave a presentation to one of the London councils today, and I get very scared before public speaking although it’s an expected part of my role. All went well though and I really enjoyed it, because I got to talk about my job and I love my job so much that I trip over myself with excitement.
There was a moment on waking up this morning though, that I wanted to cancel. It felt too scary.
What was the last thing or a recent thing you’ve done that scared you? Or have you got something pending that you’re worrying about? |

I have a job interview coming up soon which will involve an extensive test of knowledge in my particular field of History, not just "facts" but detailed analysis too. And I'm a bit shaky in that my mind and mouth will go blank!!.. |

I wouldn't say frightened but I was shitting myself before and during my last job interview about 5 months ago. 2 company directors grilled me for 2 hours, can't remember any of it really but I got the job. |

"I had a mega meet today and was a bag of nerves because of my back but I think I managed quite well. So not scared but nervous and wary. I’m fine! "
Mega meet? Sounds like it was from the 80s!
Glad all went well xx |

I always say if I’m nervous and explain it’s because I care and this is important to me. Good luck! |

"My f/buddy received her strap on my birthday present back in April. I was terrified. Took 3 weeks then lots of vodka. But wow it's amazing. Can say I had the best orgasm of my life at 37"

I'm moving to a bigger place soon. It's scary because I've been living well within my means for ages now and got used to having spare money. Paying for a nicer place to live will make me a lot more afraid of losing work or just generally fucking up financially. |

Letting people into my flat yesterday. Sounds tame but it wasn't for me.
Getting the train to Leeds tomorrow and finding my hotel on my ownio tomorrow is a bit unnerving but exciting as I haven't been before and travelling on my own isn't my favourite. Exciting because it's a new adventure. |

They are the only pizza takeaway who uses real Mozzarella, apparently. |

"No I haven't. I can't say that I get frightened as such. I get nervous, worried or anxious but rarely am I frightened at this stage of my life."
Possibly semantics. |

Oh I am! I'm going to be there for a few hours by myself anyway as my company won't arrive until early evening, so I've been inspecting Google maps for interesting things. Newest discovery is that there's a Lush shop about ten minutes away and there'll be a bath in my en suite. |

"I have a 4 and a half hour plane journey to do twice next month.
The nearer it gets the more sick I feel. "
You’ll be ok, I’ve had to conquer my fear of flying this year, flying alone for work, I was like you the more I thought about it before the worse I felt but I did it and the best part was the bit inbetween getting to see somewhere I would never have otherwise seen. Take things keep you occupied and you’ll be absolutely fine |
