The A5 is pretty much the same spec as the S7/8 just with a different processor and is about £10/month cheaper - got mine about a year ago and very pleased with it |

I’ve always loved Sony phones was waiting for the XZ premium 2 but due to offer in April on iPhones with virgin media we’re got decent price, data and free air buds I ended up getting the iPhone X. Never had an iPhone but I love this phone very cool and not like other iPhones I seen other ppl have.
My partner got the 8s she loves it and not much between em
Defo say get x |

I've had the S9+ for a couple of months now, not a massive difference from the S7 Edge I had previously barring an obvious massive jump in processing power for gaming. That's not a bad thing though, it's a great phone |

Huawei P8 lite, £130 from Curry's and does 99% of the things that a £500 plus phone can do. Don't think you can get higher specs than that for less than £250. I got one, everyone loved it and now about 12 friends and family have them after trying it. |

Check out One Plus - I have a 3t and it's effing brilliant. They don't make it anymore but the 5t and 6 is available now. A lot of phone for not a lot of money (comparatively speaking), or pick up a cheaper 3t on eBay. Quick charging means a full battery in 30 mins! |

If you're migrating from IOS to Android then Huawei is probably the best place to start I'd even go with their daughter company Honor the Honor View 10 is really amazing for under £500. I haven't used Samdung since the S5. |

"Im thinking of getting a new phone. Have been iPhone for years but thinking I’m over it, what do people recommend? "
I went with the Huawei p20 pro, mainly because if I bumped my plan up by a tenner, I got sixty gig of data a month allowance. It's not a bad phone, but I'm still getting used to the screen going further to the edges than any other phone I have had, and there are a couple of features that baffle me. But Android seems always to do me right, and Android phones are always cheaper than anything apple pumps out |

Sweet heart, I pre-ordered the S9 when it came out and sent it back after 2 weeks and got the X. It’s worth the money |

Mine easily lasts all day, far better than the iPhone it replaced.
The S9+ does have a bigger battery than the S9 though. |

I've been a Samsung user for years but last month upgraded from the S8 to the new Huewei P20pro.
Oh. My. Word. Is this an awesome phone!? The camera is outstanding, shall not be needing any other camera for anything. |

We used Samsung phones for years. Upgraded our s5's to S8's and got free Gear VR's and 14 inch Telly Tablets. Had them a while now and never had any problems with battery life or anything else. |

The Huawei P20 Pro is the best phone I've ever owned. The camera shoots images the equal of any compact camera I've ever owned and in the right conditions can get close to D-SLR quality. The battery life is epic and it charges from 15% to full in about 45 minutes. |

Decide if you want to be someone paying almost a £1000 for a phone or not. Then research within the price category that you do want. I prefer lower cost, shorter-term contracts and mid range phones i buy outright as it's lower commitment and better use of my income. Dedicate the savings to something wonderful for you that returns massive pleasure. A phone is a tool not a life. |

I had Samsung for years, went back to Nokia. New models can't fault, believe they are built by same company who built i-phone. 12 months no trouble, £150 SIM free unblocked so use on any network. Btw Nokia 6. |

If you like being controlled get an iPhone, it's the sub of the phone world.
If you prefer to be dom, get an android. |
