Now that the heat has really come on people are more scantily clad and i'm amazed at just how many folk have multiple tattoos, particularly among the younger crowd. I'm a tattoo virgin and plan on staying that way but can certainly appreciate them on someone else. I also think they just look better on some people relative to others.
Do you like tattoos and have them..and if so why? Is anyone like me....like to see but doesn't get one themselves? |

I like tattoos, they aren't essential for me liking someone but I just like the look of them and finding out what they mean to the person
I also want more tattoos last one I got was my Manchester Bee, want something else relating to Manchester next or Cyprus if I could draw I'd have so many more |

I like some tattoos on some people. They can be like works of art. They don’t suit everyone but as long as you’re happy with it then it doesn’t really matter what others think.
I don’t have a tattoo and nor would I because I know it wouldn’t look good on me. Plus I change my mind hourly so I would most likely dislike it a week down the line |

I love mine, I like seeing other people's ink, although some isn't great, but I've got one I'm not happy with although as a one off piece it's pretty cool. It really needs more work.. |

I think that last part about changing my mind is the reason I don't get one! |

Depends who they're on and their motivation for getting them.
Whilst I can totally appreciate the more artistic/realistic tattoo's that are popular today, the best tattoos for me personally are where there's significance or meaning.
Never forget talking to an old bloke with tattoo's paid for with sleeves of fags from his sailing days as a young man....Now that's cool |

Yes. I'd never have my hands, neck, face tattood so if u ever get to the point that's the only bare skin left (which will never happen as I don't get tattood regularly enough) then yes, that would be the point of enough is enough. |

I have many tattoos, there was only one that I regretted but I had that covered last year. I do find them addictive and I like the feeling of getting a tattoo as well
I’m wanting to add a new addition to my ribs at some point too. |

Definitely..for me anyway..it’s a Pringle thing once you start.....finding as I’m getting older though I want them to have more significance and I also need to think about location of them due to my job. So couldn’t go for a sleeve, neck or hand/wrist ones really which is a shame cos there’s some really pretty designs around |

most fundamental aspects |
As far as numbers of tattoos, it’s rarely going to be one. I was told of how addictive tattoos were and never believed her. Then I got one piercing, my nipple. That was the only piercing I was ever going to get and that was it! Now I’m planning my fourth body piercing- doubt it’ll be my last.
So I understand the multiple tatt thing. That said, I find things like arm sleeves a bit overwhelming. I also fully understand the wish to celebrate the occasion of the birth of a child by getting their name inked on. However... it doesn’t help me to be having sex with someone from behind with the view of **Nathan*** in across her lower back.
Foot tattoos and arousing and fascinating to me.
When I see a woman with an interesting design, I look; probably stare too much, but never have the nerve to approach them as a blind stranger to ask more.

I have a lot, sleeves and chest all as one and I have others and yes I plan on at least two more. I think they’re addictive. There’s a pleasure pain thing too which is like a challenge and then the unique relationship you have with your artist, which is all part of the experience for me |

That's one of my worries. I've treated loads of older patients whose tattoos have become so distorted by the aging skin that they're unrecognizable and look awful |

If how they will look to other people when you are old, rather than what memories they will evoke or how they make you feel when you look at them at that age, or any age, then they probably aren't for you eh?! |

I have them anf like them and get them for me and I'm not really bothered about anyone else liking them... if they do that's great. I enjoy looking at others 'ink' too, a story behind a tattoo is great but I also just appreciate the artwork and the individuals way of expressing themself.
As for tattoos on women... it's the only thing than can make a sexy lady even sexier |

They can be great Ice breakers and relaxing topics in sensitive situations though. A good distraction for the patient at times. Especially if there’s a story behind it. |

Got my ankle one for my 40th from kids. Got a bit addicted after that. Had it extended down my foot and now have 8. Whole top of my back is covered in butterflies and getting it extended down lower back next month.
Mine apart from my ankle one are only seen if I'm naked or got on a low cut or backless topx |

Id like a tattoo just never had the courage to do it. |

I love them. Unless they are poorly done. Faces of wives or exes.. or their names also don't wow me
I have three and would love more. The whole ritual is amazing in itself. The process of choosing design, placement, meaning of it... all so sensual actually! |

It’s designing it that I struggle with. I have an idea of what I want I just require a more artistic individual to put it together and sketch it |

Every tattoo i have is there for a reason, a story behind it.. Each one ive looked at several times over a month or two to make sure i still like it down the line.
Seen to many people get addicted to them, rush out and regret a week or so later.
Do i like them on others? It doesnt bother me either way but some can hold amazing life stories attached to them |

I have no flare for drawing, but managed to scribble mine into a desired design and the right artist will take it to the right level if they understand your vision. Also, look closely at their portfolio. Chose the one whose work takes your breath away.

Not really. Though you can prevent a lot of the symptoms of skin ageing considerably if you protect your skin from the sun! 90% of the symptoms of skin ageing are caused by exposure to UV rays! Tattoos are also degraded faster by UV exposure. |
