Plopping a sugar cube into tea or coffee - highly satisfying or even better in light of the heat right now, the delightful plop made by dropping ice cubes into a cold drink (followed often by that lovely cracking sound they make as they split as a result of the differing temperature of the liquid and then the ‘tinking’ sound as they hit the side of the glass)  |
