Is it just us, or is anyone else seriously creeped out when someone puts 'mmmmm' in a message?

It's probably supposed to be seductive, but it just 'sounds' really off putting

Depends on the context. If we're talking about a big juicy steak or a burger then it's all good. If we're talking about Theresa May then hell no!

That's kind of what I was going to say, a good lasagne makes me mmmmm, so unless that's what we're messaging about I find it takes me out of the moment!

I'm with you on this, especially since they can't actually see anything of us. Any messages like that are just cringey

That's an invited reaction, but getting one as an initial message is

Flirting with people you've had contact with and fantasists trying some kind of weird form of chat up are poles apart.

Oh gosh! I’m glad I’m not the only one. An out of the blue ‘mmmmm’ gives me the heebie jeebies.

Yes!!!! I find it creepy as hell... sometimes guys will just send 'Mmmmmm xxxx' as their opening (and obviously closing as I don't reply) message... thats even creepier.

Being sent kisses by someone I've never so much as said hello to also creeps me out btw loooool

6 m's I use. I think it's just right for it.

Half a dozen M's should be enough to get my point across.

5 shows you can't be arsed and 7 just shows your over the top and probably a stalker

I use it sometimes when talking to someone I know quite well and like it when they use it, but when it's a random one off message I find it a bit strange! x

Nice

It makes me hit delete too if that's in a message ,especially if it's detailed in what they'd like to do.
